89% of all books are non-fiction and/or based on real events. ¨Animal Farm¨ is also non-fiction which is super common. The first piece of evidence that proves that the events that occurred in ¨Animal Farm¨ by George Orwell happened in real life are all the same battles. For example, when the Germans attacked Russia. The second example of evidence that proves that the events that occurred in ¨Animal Farm¨ happened in real-life events is the same characters. In ¨Animal Farm¨, there is a character named Mr.Fredrcik who is a lot like Adolf Hitler. The final piece of evidence that proves that the events from ¨Animal Farm¨ happened in real life are the locations. An example is the ¨Animal Farm¨ and Mr.Fredricks farm. In conclusion, the events that have occurred in real life like Trotsky getting kicked out of Russia perfectly represent events that have happened in ¨Animal Farm¨ which would be Snowball being kicked out of the ¨Animal Farm¨.

The main reason why ¨Animal Farm¨ relates to the Russian revolution is the battles that occurred. On June 22, 1941, Germany even though they had a peace offering with Russia still decided to attack Russia in hopes of gaining their land. This historical event relates to the battle of the windmill. On March 3rd, 1918 Germany made a peace offering with Russia during the events of world war I. Just 24 years later Germany would decide to invade Russia. This ended up having lots of soldiers lost in Russia. The animals just like Russia had a peace offering with Mr.Fredricks farm which represents Germany. When Mr.Fredrick broke that deal and attack the ¨Animal Farm¨ they ended up knocking over the windmill that the animals have spent months working on. On the ¨Animal Farm¨, it said ¨When they got up again, a huge cloud of black smoke was hanging where the windmill had been. Slowly the breeze drifted it away. The windmill had ceased to exist!¨(Orwell, 109). That quote proves that just like how Russia lost soldiers the animals lost their windmill. This is because the quote says that the windmill was gone just like how the soldiers of Russia were gone. In 1918 the Russian civil war happened where the red and white armies attacked Lenin’s government. This is exactly like the battle of the Cowshed where Mr.Jones and some men were trying to take over the ¨Animal Farm¨. ¨They were all carrying sticks, except Jones, who was marching ahead with a gun in his hands. Obviously, they were going to attempt the recapture of the farm¨ (Orwell, 22). This quote proves that the Russian civil war is exactly like the battle of the Cowshed. This is because the quote talks about taking over the land. Which is exactly like what happened in the Russian civil war. The reasons why the events in real-life are very similar to the events from ¨Animal Farm¨ are because of the battle of the windmill and the battle of the Cowshed. The second reason why ¨Animal Farm¨ is based on real-life events is the same people and characters. From Snowball being Trotsky to Old Major being Lenin. In the Russian revolution, there was a person named Trotsky. He was a Russian politician and a Russian Marxist. In ¨Animal Farm¨ there was a character named Snowball. Snowball was an all-white pig who lived on ¨Animal Farm¨. Snowball represents Trotsky in ¨Animal Farm¨. Snowball represents Trotsky because of an event that happened to both of them. Trotsky was chased out of Russia just like how Snowball was chased out of an ¨Animal Farm¨. In the novel, it states ¨Snowball was racing across the long pasture that led to the road. He was running as only a pig can run, but the dogs were close on his heels. Suddenly he slipped and it seemed certain that they had him. Then he was up again, running faster than ever, then the dogs were gaining on him again.¨(Orwell, 58). That quote talks about how Snowball was being chased off of an ¨animal farm¨. That exact event happened to Trotsky when he was chased out of Russia. In the Russian revolution, there was a Russian named Lenin. In the ¨Animal Farm¨, there was a character named Old Major. Old Major from the ¨Animal Farm¨ represents Lenin from the Russian revolution. In the book it states ¨When Major saw that they had all made themselves comfortable and were waiting attentively, he cleared his throat and began¨ (Orwell,5). There was an event that occurred in both the ¨Animal Farm¨ and the Russian revolution. Both Old Major and Lenin spoke a huge speech to a lot of people. Lenin’s speech was to the Russian civilians. Old major told his speech to the animals of the farm. A great reason why the events of real-life happened in the ¨Animal Farm¨ was because of the same characters. In ¨Animal Farm¨, there was a character named Snowball who represented Trotsky. There was also a character named Old Major who represented Lenin.

My final reason why the events that happened in ¨Animal Farm¨ happened in real life is the different places. In the ¨Animal Farm¨, there is a giant windmill that the animals worked super hard to do. In the Russian revolution, there is no windmill. Even though there isn’t one it still represents the technology that Russia had at the time. In ¨Animal Farm¨, it states ¨All that year the animals worked like slaves. But they were happy in their work¨(Orwell, 21). That quote talks about how the animals worked really hard to build the windmill. Which is just like how Russia worked really hard to get their power. In ¨Animal Farm¨, there were farms nearby the ¨Animal Farm¨. This is just like how Germany is near Russia. In the book, it states ¨The other farm, which was called Pinchfield, was smaller and better kept. Its owner was a Mr. Frederick, a tough, shrewd man, perpetually involved in lawsuits and with a name for driving hard bargains¨ (Orwell, 21). That quote is about how there is a nearby farm that is owned by Mr.Fredrick. Mr. Fredrick is a character who represents Adolf Hitler the owner of Germany at the time. In conclusion, the events that happened in ¨Animal Farm¨ happened in real life because of the same places. ¨Animal Farm¨ by George Orwell was based on events from real life. This is because they have the same battles, characters and places. The three arguments that prove that ¨Animal Farm¨ is like real life is because of the battles, the characters and the places. The battles that were the same were the battle of the Cowshed and the battle of the windmill. Some characters that were the same were Snowball and Old Major who represented Trotsky and Lenin. Finally the places like the windmill which represents the tech Russia has and the nearby farms which represent nearby countries like Germany. In conclusion, the events that happened on the ¨Animal Farm¨ for sure were based on the events that happened in real life.
