I would be honored to join an organization that is as prestigious as the National Honor Society. So, why would I qualify to join the National Honor Society?  I have had experience in similar clubs and wish to further build myself through the limitless opportunities provided. Furthermore, allow me to explain why I am qualified for the National Honor Society using the four pillars. Throughout the years as a student, I have shown great examples of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Out of the four pillars, let us start with scholarship, which is a student’s dedication to academic achievement and knowledge. I would consider myself to have demonstrated that I am a great scholar throughout my life. As I have always aimed for the highest level courses that I could achieve. Since the earliest that I could, I have taken all possible honors courses. I aim to continue doing so by taking honors classes and as many AP classes as I can take. Furthermore, I have shown that I will not give up at a certain level and will continue working until I reach my limit. This is shown throughout the school day, whether it was classwork, tests, projects, homework, or essays. I plan to continue working hard and pushing my limits in the future, whether I am in college or at the workplace.

Now let us move on to leadership, which is the ability to lead or become a role model to other people. I have not had many chances to showcase my leadership. However, I have always been trusted by either my classmates or teachers to be the group leader. This is because I have always been a responsible person that is punctual, trustworthy, and will communicate with my group. I will always listen to my group members' ideas and convey any questions to the teachers. However, I will make sure that the ideas are appropriate for our current project so we can manage our time to get the best outcome possible. Additionally, I intend to expand my leadership experience throughout high school and outside of school. I will build my experience through future jobs, extracurriculars, and projects.

Next is service, which is the action of helping or doing work for someone. By helping my parents and participating in the National Beta Club, I gained experience in service. For as long as I could remember, I would always help my parents out. Mainly because my parents cannot understand English and I want to help. Now that I am more grown, I help my parents with chores, work, and paperwork. Besides translating, I would help my mom while she is babysitting. Since it can get hectic, luckily for her, I have finished a babysitting course and received a certification from American Red Cross. Furthermore, I was a member of the National Beta Club, which is another service organization for students, for two years. I was invited to join the club in 7th grade and continued until the end of middle school. During this time, I had always participated in the different activities organized for people in need, whether I took a big part in it or not. I plan to continue helping my parents and the community for the rest of my life. I will try my best to do everything I can to help. My desire to help others is also a reason why I plan to work with medicine. As I want to help develop and research medicines to help others. I have considered to be a doctor; however, I believe that my talents and abilities would best fit making and researching medicine.

Finally, we arrive at character, which is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. I believe myself to be a morally honest person who will not discriminate against anyone. I will embrace everyone's opinions and thoughts while providing them with feedback if asked. I am also not against receiving any feedback that people have about myself or my ideas and opinions. I believe that it is important to keep a positive and polite manner while being honest towards a person. I plan to continue being the same person in the future. However, I am open to growth regarding my character. I wish to become the best person that I could be.

In summary, I believe that I possess the different qualities necessary to be a member of the National Honor Society, which include scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I have shown that I have the abilities, experience, and potential to become a member. My lacking qualities will only improve as I participate in the National Honor Society. So, I believe that I would be a strong candidate for you to consider. Thank you very much for your time, and I would be honored to be considered for the National Honor Society.
