Adolf Hitler Genocide Essay Example
Hitler believed his race was superior, he murdered millions with the help of his Nazi army. The effects of this mass genocide are still felt today. Adolf Hitler was a very persuasive and conniving man. With those traits he convinced millions of individuals to become Nazis. With this massive army Adolf took to Germany and began his killing spree. Hitler would go on to kill over six million innocent lives, but why? More importantly how?
Due to Hitler’s superiority complex he was set up to believe his race was superior. Hitler was raised in a household with a physically abusive father, a loving mother and three brothers who would later die. After, Hitler went on to serve in WW1, Where he was met with a lot of death but was declared a strong soldier. According to History.com “To the anti-Semitic Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, Jews were an inferior race, an alien threat to German racial purity and community.” Because of his theory Adolf Hitler went on and made his master plan. Hitler was able to infiltrate Germany through the Nazi Party, an organization he created after returning as a wounded veteran from the annihilating trench warfare of World War I. He and other Germans were outraged and humiliated by the harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles (History.com). As a result of this anger Hitler set up a political meeting to call for a new German order as he saw the one already in place as incompetent.
In his take over Hitler began consolidating power in order to strengthen his reign. In 1920, he took over the political party’s propaganda. Once he was in power he laid low and worked on constructing his army, for the next couple of years. Once he felt like the Nazis were in a good place he decided to strike. His first “attack” was on September 15 of 1953, which deprived Jews of obtaining German citizenship. After slowly making alliances under the radar with other countries such as Italy and Japan, Hitler was able to invade Poland on the first of September. Which then prompted war to arise with Germany against Britain and France. After his invasion he adopted a plan to attack France and then Holland which then was followed by Belgium. After many many wars Hitler finally achieved his goal. Around 1933 there were concentration camps in Dachau and the most known camp Auschwitz. Once the war was in full effect Nazi army shifted from killing German-controlled territories to murdering Jewish communities. Some of the victims included homosexuals, gypsies, disables and even some Catholics. All around the Nazis killed over six million innocent lives.
Once Adolf Hitlers reign of dictatorship was settled. The country was left to fend for itself and rebuild itself back to what it once was. Hitler was silenced when he committed suicide in the Berlin bunker in April of 1945. Only 3 years prior there was an official joint declaration from Great Britain, The United States and the Societ Union making note of the genocide.While Adolf Hitler was still alive he did not stand trial as well as Heinrich Himmler and Joseph Goebbels. According to holocaust.com “ They did not stand trial as they had committed suicide before the end of the war. Twelve defendants were sentenced to death, among them Hermann Göring, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Hans Frank and Julius Streicher. Only Göring escaped hanging; he committed suicide the night before his scheduled execution.” Since the Nazis had written documents about what they had done there was a massive amount of evidence that the prosecutors used. As for Germany as a whole the homeless survivors migrated westward toward the European territories and those who were able to obtain their visas left for the U.S.
All in all over six million men, women and children lost their lives in a genocide to a nationalist. Adolf Hitler was a very nasty man who sought out to kill people based on their quote on quote flaws. Gypsies, Homosexuals, Jews, and mentally and physically ill people died-. Hitler worked his way up to become a leader and took advantage of his power. He recruited his army and devised his plan that took years. Once it was perfected he struck. Unfortunately His reign lasted for over 10 years.
