Some people argue that cars do not affect the environment, however gas and electric cars do affect the environment but they both do differently. When it comes to which car is better for the environment, it is going to be electric. Eletric cars are not only good for the environment, but also for your wallet especially right now where gas can be up to 5$ per gallon! While the price for electric cars is $0.10 per kW which is less than 1$ per gallon. By using electricity instead of crude oil, it helps save the environment and your wallets.

Electric cars help save the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, since electric cars do not produce carbon dioxide emissions. For example, according to (Fred Meier) “Driving a 2021 Tesla Model X Performance with 22-inch wheels in Burlington, Vt. The EPA calculates total greenhouse gas emissions for our hypothetical car at 110 grams per mile, 75% less than the 410 grams for a gasoline vehicle.” This shows that compared to gas cars, electric cars are a much better choice due to not producing any local emissions.

Electric cars help you save money by having a lower operating price, as said before, according to https://www.energysage.com “Over the past 10 years, the cost of fuel ranged from $1.50 to $4.00 per gallon. By comparison, over that same amount of time, electric car drivers paid about $1.20 for electricity to go the same distance.” Even if going 100% electric is not in your lane, you could always settle for a hybrid which uses gas and electricity
