American Dream and Social Government Programs Essay Sample

This quote is a perfect example of how the American dream is still accessible with hard work and with the help of the government. Some reasons the American dream is still accessible is because there are multiple resources to help people start their lives. It is clear that America still provides access to the American dream through free housing funded by the Government, the CalFresh program and the Medicaid program.

It is clear that the American dream is still alive because of all the free housing the government provides for people who are struggling. Even if you are an immigrant and just moved here, there are still a bunch of free shelters for people that provide help. In this article called “San Jose Homeless Service Guide” it says, “...you can get up to 30 days free of free shelter and also get monthly free bus passes”. This evidence shows that there are multiple resources that can help people get on their feet and go from rags to riches. This is only one of the many reasons why the American dream is still accessible.

Another reason the American dream is still alive is because of all the help the government provides for people who are struggling and can’t afford to pay their medical bills. For example the Medicaid program, the Medicaid program is a program that helps people with their healthcare bills if they are low on resources or have a low income. This evidence shows that there are a lot of resources out there that can help you live the American dream and there is no reason why you should be struggling with Medical bills.

The final reason why the American dream is still accessible is because of all the free food programs, food banks and soup kitchens that are out there in the world. One example is the CalFresh program, the CalFresh program is a program that provides financial assistance for purchasing food for low-income families. In the article “what to know about the Calfresh program” it says “... CalFresh, California largest food assistance program, helps provide low-income families and individuals who meet federal income eligibility rules with monthly food benefits”. This evidence shows that the American dream is still accessible. And that there are multiple ways that the government can help you live the American dream.

The points examined above help make the point that the American dream is still assiccable through hard work and with the help of the government. Through examples covered like free housing, the Medicaid program and the Calfresh program, it becomes clear that the government provides a lot of resources to help people accomplish their American dream.
