The mood of the poem is mockery and she uses a very good word selection to make sure the tone matches.``One Art” by Elizibeth Bishop is about mockery on how easy it is to get over losing things but in reality we know it's not. She is very sarcastic about it being “easy” to lose things because even though it's natural it’s still hard. She is talking about how losing her person and how easy it'll be but she knows it’s not. She knows losing people and things aren't easy but she wants to add a sarcastic tone to the poem.

“I lost two cities, lovely ones and rivers and it didn't kill me. I miss them but it's no disaster.” This shows that it's easy to lose things even if it never actually belonged to you; no matter how big it is you can still lose it, she states how she lost cities and rivers which is something she lost but was never actually hers. Losing is an art and it happens to everyone.  She's talking about how she's mastered the art of losing things and how it can be easy to get over. She's listing off all of the things she's lost and how she mastered losing it. the very beginning of the poem is an introduction of what the poem is about because it states "the art of losing isn't hard to master." that lets the readers know the poem is about mockery. When she talks about the art of losing she's kinda flippant about it as if she doesn't care. The poem “One Art” by Elizabeth Bishop, shows that you can get over losing things. There are several reasons why. the first reason why, you lose something every day. A second reason is, the art of losing isn't hard to master. You'll lose things big and small everyday but that's just life. Finally, “even losing you, a joking voice, a gesture I love”. In conclusion, losing isn't easy but it's inevitable and nothing to create a disaster about and this is how the author is being mocking.
