“Laughter or not, justice came as it always does.” Agatha Christie “And then were none” is a suspenseful story about ten people as guests invited to an island by different pretexts e.g., to meet friends, to have a party, or to go on a relish vacation. All these ten guests are hiding crimes, and guilt in their minds. The strong die first, and the mentally unstable are saved for the end. All the true identities of these people are not revealed until the end to make the story more secretive and thrilling. Agatha Christie easily uses narrative techniques to express the main information and control the progress and setting of the story as she keeps all her readers on edge, she builds up suspense and leaves some mysterious clues about the characters and how they behave throughout the short story. Ultimately, Justice Wargrave is mostly a villain because Wargrave, like the detective, acts as an agent of justice, making sure his calculating clever mission exceeds, he is not caught known as a killer- “villain or hero” and if his intent and impacts are in agreement or disagreement.

Justice Wargrave was very calculating and clever with his murder mission because of how he outplayed and did mysterious acts, which dazed the ten guests. Justice Wargrave always had the sense of how he wanted to kill "I must - I must - […] - commit a murder! It must be a fantastical crime- something stupendous-out of the common!” (Wargrave 151). This quote was said by Justice Wargrave in the manuscript document (151). This perfectly describes how atrocious Justice Wargrave wanted to kill the nine murderers, he wanted to kill in no prevailing way, he wanted a cryptic and foolish bloodshed mission. This explains that Justice Wargrave is an egomaniacal murderer who thinks that punishing the murderer can get everyone the justice they deserve. This easily describes how Justice Wargrave is filthy minded, and how he is a villain because of ones, wants to kill and obtain justice. He had many great ideas, the one, which was chosen “A Childish rhyme of my infancy came back to my mind- the rhyme of the ten little “Indian”- Soldier boys. It had fascinated me as a child of two […] the inexorable diminishment – the sense of inheritability.” This easily explains how many critical plans Justice Wargrave had, to exceed his massacre mission. He had many mind-blowing and creative plans, but he managed to choose the short poem called: “Ten little soldier boys. As he runs through the story, he kills each murderer one by one slowly. To compare, we can use the seminar-prep question we did in class. “Is Killing a murderer ever justified? In this case Justice Wargrave is punishing the murderer, but to give justice he also kills himself for committing the murder, so can you say that Justice Wargrave is a hero or villain? From multi-perspectives I think we can all agree that Justice Wargrave is more of a villain by committing murders than a hero by killing him-self to give justice, because mostly throughout the short story he is a villain by doing harm to the characters to punish them.

Is Justice Wargrave a good human which helped the society by punishing major murders or is he a villain by creating an unsolvable murder mystery. Justice Wargrave “But nobody must suspect. It may do the trick. It must! (Chapter 13, 111) from now on, it is our task to suspect each and every amongst us someone is Mr. Owen- (The Unknown). This quote perfectly describes how Justice Wargrave is trying to hide the cruel power inside him from one's perspective you can easily indicate how he is apprehensive and more secretive. This quote explains how his identity is still unknown to the reader and the guest at this, point. Justice Wargrave reflects in his mind on his plan to stage his death, having to choose one of the guests to help him fake a shooting so that he can supposedly help solve the case, but his personal motive is to keep killing without anyone knowing what he is doing. “Justice Wargrave “Nobody worried about me, they were all too deadly scared and terrified of each other.” (Manuscript 152) all were too anxious, from the madman which was performing his killing actions. Justice Wargrave “It was my ambition to invent a murder mystery that no one could solve!” (Manuscript document 155) I played tricks to punish the bad with my prime inventions. The first quote perfectly describes how everyone was, so terrified of each other they all forgot about the “dead” which is where Justice Wargrave took his massive steps and made himself unnoticeable and fought for justice. The second quote explains how Justice Wargrave In his confession to the murderers and his own suicide written on a note in a bottle, this reveals the reason his plan to fake his death and keep on killing worked so well to his ability to get people to be continually frightened and afraid of each other which made them fail to pay attention to him after he is supposedly dead in other words “pretending to be dead.” Justice Wargrave plans exceed to his limit which makes him want to kill more and additionally he is making an unsolvable murder mystery. From these actions you can easily express how cruel and dreadful Justice Wargrave is becoming by creating berserk ideas.

What is Justice Wargraves intent and impacts on the short story, how can we agree or disagree with them? Justice Wargrave “I have wanted… to commit a murder myself. I recognized this as a desire of the artistic to express himself! but- incongruous as it may seem to some – I was restrained and hampered by my innate sense of justice. The innocent must not suffer.” (Epilogue 152) my intent was to kill, and I accomplished it well. This quotation is taken from Judge Wargrave’s written confession. In this quote, Wargrave explains how he concluded the idea of bringing a group of unpunished murderers to Soldier Island and killing them off. Killing people who committed crimes, was a great point why Wargrave is a villain in one's views, but some may think that his desire to murder and his desire to give out justice is marvelous, and in addition he is a hero. From this statement you can easily indicate that Justice Wargraves intent was to give out justice and his impact was to punish the murderers or in other words to kill them for doing “hidden murders.”

Justice Wargrave “Mr. Owen could only come to the island in one way. It is perfectly clear. Mr. Owen- U n k n o w n is one of us.” (Chapter 9 ,81) who is Owen the unknown and unheard, all are terrified! These words of Wargrave describe the first occur when the recorded voice accuses the guests of murder. Prior to this moment, everyone has assumed, that their host/killer, Mr. Owen, is hiding somewhere on the island and planning to murder them. But after searching on the island Owen was not found, then Justice Wargrave makes this suspicions quote to alert the guests at the island to be safer and more secretive. In addition, no one expects Wargrave to be the “murderer,” but instead Justice Wargrave steps and becomes the leader of the group, until he fakes his death later on to confuse the guests. From these actions of Wargrave you can easily confess that his intent was to punish the murderers in a mysterious way, and his impact was to gain control over and rule the group in wrong directions so Wargrave can punish the guests in other words “kill them.”

In conclusion, some readers may struggle to think that Justice Wargrave is a villain because he is being more descriptive and more helpful as stated in the story and even overall, he confuses the characters in the story and kills himself, so the reader does not pay much attention to him. Therefore, he is a villain because he is using clever ideas to confuse and mesmerize the reader. From these statements you can indicate how big of a hypocrite Justice Wargrave is.
