Argumentative Essay on Would Life From Another Planet be From Earth

If life was found on another planet it wouldn't come from earth and this is why. There's 2 main reasons, my first reason is that it would be extremely hard for life to survive. My second reason is that earth isn't the main planet they're saying life can come from. Now you may be saying but wait, earth is the only planet known to support life and well yes but several missions are being planned to show that life may actually be on other planets life mars. 

Starting with my first point I said that it would be extremely hard for any life to survive. This is supported by the fact that the conditions of space are extremely hard to survive. In fact, a simulation done by Jay Melosh, a student at Purdue University shows that it would take about 4.5  billion years for life on mars to make it to a different planet  Enceladus to be exact. Another major reason is that the impact caused would be near impossible for anything to survive. The impact force is to be around 11,180 to 69,350 miles an hour. With all these facts in mind it's unlikely for any life to even survive its way to get on another planet. 

In addition to that the simulation was shown to prove that particles could be transferred from  Mars. Even though this doesn't mean it can't come from earth it shows how unlikely that is. Scientists also theorized that this life could come from Mars, Earth, or a completely different solar system. In fact many scientists are leaning toward that it may be from a whole other solar system in general. So earth and mars may not be the planets that we should even be questioning.

However, you may be thinking that life has only been found on earth so it would have to come from earth, right? Well yes, but recently scientists have been creating space programs to see if there is indeed life on other planets like mars. The James Webb Space Telescope is meant to do that and maybe even fine life in a different solar system.

In conclusion, that's why life on another planet couldn't be from earth. It would be really hard for anything to survive the travel from one planet to the other and the science leans more towards other planets and not earth. We did discuss the fact that earth is the only planet known to support life and how that may no longer be true. On the plus side many missions are being planned to explore these areas so maybe life will end up on another planet sooner than we think.
