Argumentative Essay Sample: Ted Cruz Should Run for President

Why would Ted Cruz make a great candidate as president? Ted Cruz is a Republican who believes in family values and shows passion in what he believes in. Cruz should run for president because he has good body language towards the crowd, passionate about his beliefs, and engages with the audience while using the full stage. In body paragraph 2, Cruz will demonstrate how he uses his positive body language towards the crowd. In body paragraph 3, Cruz will show not only- but also, how he is passionate about his beliefs. Lastly, In body paragraph 4, Cruz will explain how he engages with the audience while using the full stage. Ted Cruz's speech was impactful to others because he used positive body language, passion for his beliefs, and how he engaged with his audience.

Cruz will demonstrate how he uses his positive body language towards the crowd. While doing his speech he stands up with his broad shoulders to represent his seriousness towards this speech like when talking about family values. Ted Cruz uses Ethos to inform us about information given to us to convince you of the argument to vote for him as president and how he would make a difference in the U.S. if he was to win us over. Ted Cruz used the Phrase “ I believe god isn’t done with America” meaning he has more to offer than what he’s giving and showing us. It will come when the time is right.

Cruz will show how he is passionate about his beliefs and family values. Ted Cruz persuades his audience by appealing to their emotions and making them believe something by saying he has gone through it as well as they all have to give more of a personal bond with them. Ted Cruz shows the Values and what America has to hold for the future. Cruz says “I’m ready to stand with you to lead the fight” meaning their smiles demonstrate their agreement with what Ted Cruz is saying in his speech. The Liberty high audience is liking the information that he is giving them about the beliefs of education, and Jobs. Ted’s opinion on education is that all “schools should expand the college saving plans to include K-12 elementary and secondary school tuition for public, private, and religious schools”. He wants to focus on the urge to get students back in classrooms for in person learning. As for his thoughts about jobs, Cruz has voted against “raising the debt ceiling by insisting any debt ceiling increase be accompanied by structural reforms and that Washington bureaucrats from recklessly spending the American taxpayers hard-earned money”.(Cruz)

Cruz will introduce how he will engage with the audience. Ted Cruz uses great eye contact with all of his audience and uses full stage to express his feelings towards certain issues. He uses the full stage and takes pauses in between sentences to give space for the audience to clap or laugh and the information he just gave. Ted Cruz uses ethos to explain his personal stories of how his father worked his way to success. Ted, and his entire family have been blessed to live “ The American Dream” through hard work and determination, anyone can achieve anything. Ted is committed to ensuring every family has that same opportunity as they did growing up if elected as president. 

In Conclusion, Ted Cruz should run for president because he would make a great candidate and focus more on passion and where he came from such as (Family Values), His beliefs and morals, and the connection with the audience which gives them more knowledge about America and his aspect of it. Ted could fulfill the needs of the audience since they believe in most of the same beliefs and morals and are trying to win over America as one. At Liberty High he used a lot of ethos to show emotion towards his speech to let the audience know that he was in the same spot as them and that they were not alone.
