Ancient Artifacts help us understand past history, that's why it's important we preserve them. There has been controversy over the years about artifact ownership, does the country it was found in own it? Or does the person who finds the artifact own it. I believe that the artifact should go to the country of origin to best preserve ancient history.

One piece of evidence to support the claim is in article C, they state, “Italy says were buried for centuries, unearthed, stolen, and sold.” This evidence shows that the artifacts were stolen and sold to museums which may take worse care of the artifacts then the country of origin. This is not respectful and puts the artifacts at risk for being destroyed. This is just one reason why artifacts should stay in their country of origin.

A quote from article C, “The getty first displayed the ‘Victorious’ youth’ in 1974 to great fanfare.” This quote shows that the Getty got a lot of visitation for the statue thus a lot of money. This money could have been used to fund protection of the statue, or to help a city/town earn money for its people.

In conclusion, I believe that artifacts should stay in their country of origin, to protect and preserve it as well as we can. It's important that we agree on artifact ownership so we don't have to argue over it later. We should think of a universal system/law to determine this. In short, I believe that artifacts should be better protected, and should stay in its rightful place.
