Hello. My name is L** Har***, and I am a sophomore at here at MVNU majoring in Exercise Science (Pre-PA). Growing up, art has always been a major part of my childhood, I remember always enjoying art class, as I would find myself drawing and painting outside of class for fun with my mom or my siblings. This carried into my middle school years, as I enjoyed drawing and sketching a lot and as a result, did well in my art classes. Some of my artwork in middle school even made it in our local fair, one piece taking second place. In my middle school we had to choose whether to do band or chore (or both), and I chose to do band. I started to learn how to play the clarinet and I played that all through middle school. In high school, I did not have time take any art classes as I was focused on the requirements that I needed to graduate along with attaining as many CCP (college credit plus) classes that I could. I did, however, continue to do concert band and marching band to fulfill that fine arts credit. Also, at the time I joined a new church and a few months in I asked one of the members to teach me guitar, and he was on break for college and heading back soon, but he was willing to give me a few lessons and I continued to teach myself from there.

After a couple of months, the worship team leader came up to me and asked if I wanted to join because they needed a guitarist. I was not that good at the time, but I improved fast, as performing makes you better faster. In addition to playing the clarinet and guitar, I also started to learn how to play the Trombone and I joined the jazz band my sophomore year. To backtrack to the drawing, I never stopped drawing in high school, I would enjoy drawing people from my favorite T.V. shows, and some of my crushes that I had at the time. I would not consider myself as an artist in any way as I just used drawing and music both as a way to escape from reality and relax from all the busyness that comes with life. To this day, in college, I still will pick up my guitar, or pencil, and just play, or draw, to relax and destress from all the responsibilities that I have to do.
