College is a step further in our education. However, not everyone is able to attend whether  it’s because of their finances, their lack of interest etc. It gets hard sometimes but education is the foundation of life. Students should attend colleges because it will play a big role in their future, it's a chance to see the diversity in culture and it impacts the global economy.

Colleges play a role in our future. Getting an education is one thing but being able to use this education in the outside world is what really benefits you. “More opportunities, better job security and advanced critical thinking skills” (Source C). Attending college is the start of exploring the world, it’s the start of opportunities coming your way. “They’re more likely to vote and participate in civic society, and for many, the environment will become a major concern” (Source C). The environment is changing everyday due to our human activities. However, going to college and learning more about these changes and attending labs to further demonstrate the issues of the environment will be a stepping block in changing the way our environment is affected.

Colleges allow you to see the diversity in culture. Many people wouldn’t care about seeing cultural enrichment however, it’s important because in relation to playing a role in our future. Acknowledging cultural enrichment allows us to acknowledge the outside world, how things are in the workplace, and each and every other place you may go. “Many of society’ prejudice and stereotypes come from the lack of understanding other cultures..” (Source C). This is true, going out into the world before even really getting to know a person these stereotypes are already pinned to you mainly because we don’t take the time to learn about these cultures and understand their behavior as individuals.

Attending Colleges impact our global economy. Our economy is advancing each and every day with new trends, new innovative technology etc, This is all driven by information. Many parents can relate to the fact that growing up they didn’t have what we have, they didn’t have the technology, they didn’t have someone in their corner pushing, putting their all into getting them into colleges because at the time they didn’t have it physically, or financially. “Technology and the information age are not the only reasons to be well educated….. Higher education prepares you to make transitions to new fields” (Source A). Technology is just one of many that are advancing everyday but so is housing, and for houses to be built you need carpenters, those who work in the electric field, blueprint planners etc. These are all different fields that our economy needs, and going to college allows these dreams and desires to come to reality. “They strain the star-in essence taxpayers- to the tune of about $30 million a year in remedial costs..” (Source B). Although a lot of money is being invested, if you think about how this will affect the economy in years to come, the money invested will be worth it. At the moment it’s a lot, but for the sake of our future generations and their innovative ideas it will be worth it.

To conclude, students should attend colleges not because of expectations that others have of them but for their future, the future that they will become a part of. Education is costly but with the help of the government and the schools the learning you achieve from attending pays off in the end affecting cultural enrichment and our economy as a whole.
