Sports can do many intriguing things to the body, including, improving the look of the skin, sharpening your memory, and preventing signs of ageing. Some people may think that sports are not good because of the things that can happen. Whether that be spraining an ankle or breaking a leg, sports have way more benefits than detrimental outcomes. Someone should not quit or not play sports because they have the slight chance of becoming injured. While that could happen, sports' benefits outweigh the negatives because, getting involved in sports can help improve the functions of the body, it can increase all brain chemicals involved with a person’s emotions, and can increase social skills. 

Overall, sports can improve the look, feel, and health of the body. When physical activity is demonstrated in sports, it gets the heart rate up, and helps blood circulate through the body better. This gives oxygen and needed nutrients to the skin, thus causing the skin to stay healthy, and look healthy. Also being overweight seems to impact a large population of the world nowadays, although, getting involved in sports can also help burn calories and fat away. By burning fat away, it helps build muscle mass and strength. Along with building muscle mass and strength, physical activity in sports can improve muscle memory and coordination. Sports may also impact the health of the body in many positive ways. Whether that be improving the heart, controlling blood sugar, or reducing the risks of diseases such as diabetes, and some forms of cancer. Since sports will have a positive impact on the body, that person may be happier with the way they feel and look.

Sports help decrease brain chemicals such as cortisol and adrenaline, which causes someone to be less stressed. Some brain chemicals that a person outputs while playing sports involve dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Being involved in sports may also give the brain a feeling called “runner’s high”. This is when the brain releases pleasure chemicals called opioids. All these brain chemicals will allow a person to become happier, more independent, and outgoing. 

By being outgoing in sports, that may improve a person's social skills, and if someone has good social skills, it can have a positive outcome on their future. There was a study done that examined shy kids roles in sports over a year. Based on information they received from the kids and the parents, they were more outgoing and less shy after a year of sports. “Overall, results indicated that sport participation was positively related to indices of positive adjustment” says Robert J Coplan, a writer of  Come out and play: Shyness in childhood and the benefits of organized sports participation. By developing social skills because of sports, it causes someone to start to have interest in jobs, hobbies, and charitable work. Being able to communicate with people is one of the most important things in today's world, sports teach someone to have good communication with others, not to be selfish, and to be able to listen. These are all great skills to have in jobs today. One study was released by the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies and was reported in Fortune, “it is proved that sports players often went on to develop better leadership skills, more confidence, and better team-working abilities.”

Should someone not play sports because of the negative outcomes that can happen? Based on the research, the positives of sports heavily outweigh the negatives. Whether that be sports helping shape the future of someone, or improving our moods through brain chemicals. To answer the question, no, someone should not play sports because of the negative outcomes. Several researches and studies have shown that if someone had the option to play sports, they should take it, because they are more likely to succeed through life, be more healthy, and work better with others. Looking into the full effects of sports on a person's health, it is undeniable that they have a very beneficial impact. Depending on if a person plays sports or not, it could impact the rest of their life.
