There's a lot of mystery surrounding Billy Bones, and what I discovered might shock you. Due to Billy Bones' personality, the passengers on the Admiral Benbow referred to him as a captain when he arrived at the Admiral Benbow Inn at the beginning of the story. Billy Bones is a powerful individual with black hair who is known for scaring everyone around him.

Billy Bones is such a scary person that he practically owned the inn. Jim Hawkins's father, the owner of the inn, would be scared to ask for money from him. He would also tell scary stories to the passengers on board the Benbow. There is one person that Billy Bones is scared of and that is Pew who is a blind pirate. Billy Bones is so scared of Pew that he pays Jim Hawkings to look for a seafaring man with one leg. Nevertheless, Billy Bones is still a scary person.

Billy Bones would get drunk a lot but he would attract a lot of customers because of how he acted.  Jim Hawkins said “My Father was always saying the inn would be ruined, for people would soon cease coming there to be tyrannized over and put down and sent shivering to their beds; but I really believe his presence did us good. The way that Billy Bones acted somehow attracted lots of customers.

Billy Bones makes enemies with a lot of people. One day Billy Bones was visited by Black Dog who is a villainous-looking man. Black Dog and Billy Bones got into an argument and started to attack each other with swords. Billy Bones injured Black Dog but he soon after had a stroke, luckily Dr. Livesey helped him out.  Just a few days after the stroke Pew the blind pirate reached the inn and scared Bones so much that when Pew put a black spot in Bones’ hand he had a stroke and died because he was scared.

Billy Bones is an interesting character, he scares other people but he died because he got scared. Without Bones, the story would not have started which makes him one of the most important characters. Bones seemed to be hurting a lot but in the article, he was helping more than he was hurting.
