Brett Favre was born 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi on October 10. His full name is Brett Lorenzo Favre. His father’s name is Irvin Favre and his mother’s name is Bonita Favre. They were teachers and his father was also the school's football coach. He has three siblings. Their names are Brandi Favre, Scott Favre, and Jeff Favre. (biographymask.com) 

Brett Favre and his family moved to Kiln, Mississippi, but before moving there they were originally from Gulfport, Mississippi. He had most of his childhood memories in Kiln. Favre started playing football during fifth grade. He was not originally a quarterback. During his first game, which would be known as the fifth-grade jamboree. Even though he played many sports, his main passion was football. He played in just about every position. His dad was extremely disciplined towards him and pushed Favre to do better. When it was nearly time for Favre to go to college, he only got one scholarship offer even with his high school talents. Many coaches wanted him to be a defensive back, but Favre wanted to be a quarterback. Though with all this, he eventually became a quarterback in his freshman year. Before he even played a single game, his career was close to ending due to a nearly fatal car accident. Even when this happened, he still played and won against Alabama. After playing in college, he was then drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. (Humphrey Zara) 

He went to the University of Sothern Mississippi, and he became the school’s football team quarterback. He was then drafted by the Atlanta Falcons, but later was traded to the Green Bay Packers as a backup quarterback. Though being a backup originally, he later led the Packers to their first play-off. Afterwards he won MVP three times. He then led the Packers to the Super Bowl XXXI in 1996 and won against the New England Patriots, and then went to the next Super Bowl, but lost against the Broncos. In 2007 he announced that he would be retiring. The next year he announced that he would be going back to playing professional football. Before the beginning of the 2008 season the Packers traded him to the New York Jets. His season with the New York Jets was a total disappointment. He then retired once more, but none the less signed to play as the Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback. During his 2009 season, he guided the Minnesota Vikings to a 12-4 record and got them to the NFC Championship Game. However, they lost the game and Brett Favre got a terrible shoulder injury which led him to the end of his football career. (Guttmann Allan) 

Brett Favre broke many records during his time playing football. He Broke Dan Marino’s touchdown pass record of 420 and passing yards of 61,371 yards. He even broke George Blanda’s interception record of 277. He finished his career with 508 touchdown passes and 71,838 passing yards. Brett Favre was brought into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
