Capital Punishment Persuasive Essay Example

Capital punishment is the legitimately approved killing of somebody as a discipline for wrongdoing. It is a good method of ameliorating the crime rate because if we get rid of criminals, crimes won’t permeate and there won’t be new people who will be taught how to make crimes. Furthermore, capital punishment gives people an understanding of what are the consequences of committing a crime. 

To begin with, if a person stole something from a grocery store, he doesn’t deserve to be killed, but if someone killed a person without any reason, then he needs to be put in the same position he put the person he killed. Before executing the person, who didn’t hurt someone else, they’ll exhort him to stop doing that terrible thing, and if he did it one more time he’ll be killed. Supposedly, the federal government must be stringent when it comes to crimes, though they should not start punishing the criminal unless they are sure of their committed crime, because there is a big chance of them being innocent or their crime didn’t hurt anyone.

In addition, the most effective method and immediate punishment is the death penalty. It should only be applied when a person kills someone, and after killing that person, the victim’s family will revenge the killer's family, and they’ll keep attacking each other. In this situation, capital punishment must be applied. Also, it’s a great way to stop families from revenging each other to be aware of justice. So, if capital punishment were not used, countries with high crime rates would have even greater rates.

Many people inveigh with the capital punishment rule and that it doesn’t lower the crime rate, but I believe that this is the only punishment that the person who committed a crime deserves. Sometimes, it will let other people who are considering committing a crime reconsider doing it after seeing that people are getting killed, also it will show them how their destiny will be, which will make them take a step back and realize that what they’re doing is wrong; unless if the person is heartless and doesn’t care, then he’ll go do his planned crime.

From my point of view, I think if a person is harming himself, such as being a drug addict, then he needs to go to therapy. But, if he distributed the drug, then capital punishment must be applied to him because he is harming others, and maybe others will die by what he distributed. Going with the killing, I think every person who killed someone, needs to be killed, as said in physics, for every action there’s an equal reaction, so he should be put in the same position, even if he didn’t kill, maybe he hit or did something else. Lastly, when there is execution, crimes decreases.
