When you are so invested that you can't even sit, you stand with your arms crossed or pace back and forth. That is the feeling that college athletes will give you when you are invested in them. College athletes deserve to be payed because taking on a college sport is basically a full time job.

College athletes give up so much of their own time to dedicate to their sport. They take away time from their studies and their school work in order to play the sport they love. College athletes don't have time for jobs strictly because their sport takes up all their time. Paying college athletes can turn them into professionals and brighten their future. If they are willing to dedicate their time to the college and sports program, then they deserve to be paid in return for their hard work.

One of the main things that brings a college so much jazz is the student athletes that play and compete for them. Without college athletes a college wouldn't be able to bring a community together for bonding time. A college wouldn't be complete without their athletes that bring the fans and support from all around the campus and beyond. The athletes bring so much to the college and so much money to the foundation of it all. Students that attend colleges go to the sports games that are created by their athletes. This brings the money to the college, if athletes are making money for the college then student athletes should be making money themselves for their entertainment in a game for people to come and watch.

I can understand why people would think that it's unfair for college athletes to be paid. They may think this because it could cause a downfall towards the other sport programs, and that the money going to athletes should be put towards bettering the school, but the student athletes are the ones bettering the school. A lot of students choose to go to the college they love not just because of the academics, but because of the sports programs that they grew up watching since they were kids. Those sports programs are amazing because of the effort and dedication that student athletes put into their sports. If athletes can dedicate their time to their sport then they should be paid for their commitment.
