Have you ever thought a book was really horrible and did not interest you? But then you watched the movie and it was surprisingly not as bad , well, that's what this essay is about.  In the book To Kill A Mockingbird, which is based during the 1930s, the majority of the plot is confusing and leaves me bewildered to what is happening at the end of each chapter. But watching the movie, as a visual, hands-on worker, I am invested  in the movie's plot considerably more. In this essay I have written how the movie is far more interesting, intriguing, and gives more imagery of what living in Maycomb County in the 1930s would be like. The movie is significantly more interesting than the book because of the following reasons. In the movie, they took out a lot of the events in the book which didn't have a major impact on the plot's structure, such as the fire, Mrs.Dubose, and Aunt Alexandra. While some stuff that was out was mildly important, but didn't have any importance in the main conflict in the book. Also, Aunt Alexandrea had a bigger part, but she was cut, but mostly that happened because of the script writer who happened to be a male. Another cut out part that was bigger in the book, in the end, it didn't affect anything, was the fire. The fire was a less interesting part

of the book, so when it wasn't in the movie the plot went through a lot smoother

and simpler than in the book, this is another reason why I

enjoyed the movie more. In this paragraph, I mainly explained how the out please didn't affect the plot, but they did make it a lot easier to follow.

I also think visuals in the movie gave me a better understanding of the conflict. When I first read the book, I had a hard time thinking of what Maycomb County looked like, but when I watched the movie, I had a greater understanding. In the book you get to hear about what's happening in Macomb, like Boo and Tom Robinson's case. Though in regards to that, the narrator explained very rarely what Maycomb truly looked like during the 1930s.  In the To Kill A Mockingbird book, we really and truly only get to know what Scout and Boo Radley look like. At the beginning of the book, Scout (the narrator) only explains the events happening in the county of Maycomb. The only time Scout talks about a specific appearance, is when she talks about Boo Radley. In general, the movie gives a  better understanding and I am more in the storyline of To Kill A Mockingbird.

The movie is way more interesting than the book because of all these reasons. First of all, when I first read the book introduction, I was confused and annoyed by how the whole plot is everywhere. Also, when I read the first chapters of the book I was firstly overwhelmed by the information thrown at me and also very lost. During this time of confusion and rage I was also trying to figure out what was happening. When I got to watch the movie I got a better understanding of the tone that this book is trying to express during the controversial era that the boom was set in.  To back this up, the narrator  doesn't explain the tone of the speakers very well. In regards to that,  the movie brings to mind a somewhat realistic view of Maycomb Countys during this very racist time they were in. In conclusion, the movie,  unlike the majority of the book, brought to life the  emotions and tension between the residents of Maycomb County during the 1930s.

Going back to the start of this writing, the movie gives us a more  imaginative view of the times that the Finch family lived through and the racial tension. where they live. If you are thinking , "Why does any of this matter in the first place?", well, if this topic wasn't spoken this generation would be a bland, incompenget, and an unhealthy learning environment. Lastly, I wanted to ask you, the reader, a question. I don't know if you like the movie better now or not, but here's the  question I'm gonna leave you sitting with. Do you wanna live your life reading a book for days on end to only be tired and bored after reading for an hour only to realize you've gotten through one chapter, or do you wanna watch the  2 hour entertaining movie made from the book and then read the main points in the story, which would you wanna spend your weekend on?
