Conspiracy Theories About John F. Kennedy’s Assassination (Essay Sample)

Today I am going to be talking about many conspiracy theories about John F. Kennedy's assassination and what some people think happened. We are almost 100% sure today that Lee Harvey Oswald was the person who killed JFK; He was taken into custody but he was killed 2 days later. Some of these theories are crazy and totally out of the blue(random). Now let's go off and talk about some theories that people have. 

One main conspiracy theory that a lot of people say is that it was an accident and that they did not mean to shoot JFK. They say that Lee Harvey Oswald lost his balance and the car braked at that time and that’s when he pulled the trigger and hit JFK. The way some people say it is that, Oswald lost his balance, at that time people ran across the street and the limo had to quickly brake and that is when Oswald pulled the trigger and shot JFK. They also say that the first “accidental” shot did not hit JFK it went past him and then when he pulled it again it hit JFK and then the second shot hit him and that was what really killed him. 

A second theory that people had was that Oswald did not work alone and that he was working with another man known in this case as the second “gunman.” People say that there were 2 bullets from 2 separate people. They say there was another gunman behind “The Grassy Knoll,” they say that’s where the 2nd bullet came from. They say this because of where the 2nd shot was on his body. This hill was overlooking the highway ramp and that’s where JFK’s limo was going; they say there were a few seconds in between the shots. Now we are going to move on to our third theory. 

The third theory was the craziest of them all. Some people believe that the government did it. They believe the government did it with an inside man and they were paying him, some people say multiple people did it and were paid. Another thing related to this is that they believe the CIA did it because they say they knew “too fast” about the assassination of JFK,who they think did the assassination, and the description of the person. They say they were also “digging” through JFK personal records for years beforehand. This is a theory that a lot of people believed because they didn’t know where the CIA was before the shooting. We are going to talk about one last theory and then which one I believe the most. 

A third theory about the assassination of JFK was the story of the “Umbrella Man.” They think that the person with the umbrella was the killer because it was a sunny day outside and you should not need an umbrella unless you are hiding something. People believe that under the umbrella he was hiding a gun, some say a poison dart gun. People believe that when JFK’s limo was driving, the guy lifted up his umbrella and quickly shot him and then put the umbrella down and walked away. People even say it was caught on film and that we should believe that instead. Now I am going to talk about what I believe in and what thoughts I have on this topic. 

I believe that in this matter that it was Lee Harvey Oswald because we have the most evidence based on that; We have video footage and more proof that we have with the other theories. The odds of some of these other theories are not very likely but these are some of the better theories out there. These ones make more sense.
