Justice is but a fickle subject, in a world of corruption, it only favors those who have power. Time and time again we have seen this kind of injustice in both movies and real life, where the unfortunate innocents are turned into suspects while the rich come out of the situation unscathed. People with power are not tied down by the consequences of their actions as they have the means to be and are consequently immune to the law because of their high status and wealth. Meanwhile, people who don't have a high social standing become victims to those of higher power, living off of their remnants and struggling to survive in a society created to cater to the needs of those who have authority.

I interpret the blindfold in the poem to symbolize how people blindly accuse one as guilty despite not seeing evidence that would conclude it to be as such. If the blindfold is taken off, one can easily distinguish right and wrong, but they choose to keep it on for those in the wrong to win. A scale can be easily tipped, the evidence can be outweighed with money and power. The poor innocence of a man who had done nothing wrong is set aside to appease those who do not want to ruin their image. The truth is clouded by the judgment of those who are greedy and gluttonous. Like a game of poker, one can have a card up his sleeve and cheat their way into victory. And as the card dealer, they can give the cards to whoever they want, the kings and queens of high society outvalue the simple hearts and diamonds of the lower classes.

In a form of retaliation, people rise to become the card dealer themselves, oftentimes to create a better world for both themselves and the people who are in desperate need of it. They've seen the injustice in the world and are aiming to correct it, but it takes time to fight back the corrupt that have been around since the dawn of time. Nonetheless, some people of our society make every effort to unveil the truth. Modern-day is a rise of a new age, people are beginning to speak their minds and will not rest until justice has been rightly served.
