Anne Frank was a 13-year-old girl who went into hiding with her family and some friends during World War Two. She was an unabashed, curious, and positive girl. Anne always tried to look at the positive things in life rather than the negative ones. In hiding, Anne was given a diary by her father, Otto Frank. She wrote almost everything in her diary. However, when Anne was 15 in 1942 she and the other seven people she was living with were found by Germans. They were all taken to different concentration camps and Anne sadly passed away that year. Even under the circumstances, she was still a happy and brave girl. Firstly, Anne Frank was an unabashed young girl. She didn't care what the other people thought. In the play, act 1, scene 2 it states that Anne removes a pair of panties and her mom says "Anne, please!" but her not being embarrassed replies with "It's alright. I've got three more." This shows that Anne is an unabashed girl because she is removing pairs of panties in a room with people she just met. Her mother also tells her that she shouldn't do that but Anne does not care and is not whatsoever ashamed of her actions. Furthermore, Anne is also very curious. She always asks questions and wants to know "everything". In act 1 scene 2 Anne asks Peter "Then I'll have to stop being a stranger, won't l? Is he fixed?" and she also asks "Where did you go to school?`` Peter replies "Jewish Secondary." Anne then tells Peter that's where she and Margot went and Peter says he used to see them. Anne proceeds to ask these questions "You did?" and "Why didn't you come over?" This conversation between Anne and Peter shows that Anne is curious because she asks questions. First, she asks about Peter's cat and about what school he attended before going into hiding. She also asks why he never went up to her or talked to her in school. That shows Anne's curiosity. Moreover, Anne was a positive girl. She always looked at the positive sides of things. In act 1 scene 2 Anne states "You know the way I'm going to think of it here? I'm going to think of it as a boarding house. A very peculiar summer boardinghouse." This quote shows that Anne is a positive person. It shows that because she says that she is going to think of the situation she's in as like a vacation in a summer boarding house. She tried to think positively and make it not sound so bad. In conclusion, Anne was a very happy and brave girl. She was an unabashed, curious, and positive girl even under the situation she was in. There are a lot of things that showed that Anne was an unabashed, curious, and positive person. During Anne's time in hiding, she matured and became a more independent young girl. She faced a lot of challenges and obstacles yet always stayed happy and positive
