Environmental Education Webinar Reaction Paper Example

A webinar hosted by Mr. Nathaniel B. Supan, conferring about environmental education is conducted on the 23rd day of July. The discussion seeks to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of careless erroneous human activities to our environment; the host tackled various issues related to animals, nature, and our environment that needs to be addressed. Consequently, it alerts the audience about the worldwide threats that our surroundings currently experience. Moreover, the contents of the presentation greatly emphasized the threats that would fall upon Earth if these activities remain enacted.

Nature suffering due to exertion of human acts is not an entirely state-of-the-art newsflash; the thought has been around for decades, nevertheless, solutions for these particular issues still strive as the sands of time flow which strides seemingly course through a snow-filled path. As solutions are made though, several problems seem to sprout alongside them. Human depravity towards nature lingers just like an unprecedented poison that always comes back to hunt the ones who spit it: it is a disease arduous to cure. In the webinar, Mr. Supan accentuated that the threats that are occurring today are bound to be worse in the future; the said issues will continue to feed on accumulated decadence of mother earth ensuing in the growth of the wall that humans need to conquer to solve the said problems. There are various ongoing movements to improve the state of nature towards development suggesting that all we need to contribute is an effort to participate. Together with this, we must act with patience and persistence as our small acts will not solve anything overnight for the terror doesn’t also blossom overnight. 

From my standpoint, the webinar is greatly alarming; the sight of nature devolution is very disturbing to see. Considering that, it stimulates the viewers to act and participate in being the solution. Contents of the webinar suggest that Earth is home not only for humans, it’s also the home of animals and nature and it’s a shame that as the only soi-disant species able to possess reason then why do we inevitably bring so much destruction? Here I’ll quote a question that we need to always ask ourselves and ponder upon, “are you part of the problem? Or are you part of the solution?” This year is brimmed with various crises that humans strived to overcome, and perhaps before long, humanity will once again be shaken by a perilous threat parallel to or even worse than what we had encountered, there’s no way of knowing. Thus, acting now and doing what we can do is highly significant for nobody is certain of when it is too late: perhaps tomorrow or perhaps next week. In the past, humanity faced a lot of challenges and stood strong; now, it’s a matter of how many are part of the solution, and; perhaps tomorrow, it’s a matter of how and if humanity will be able to stand if we were to fall.
