Animal Farm Essay
Some people believe that not all people are created equal. This is very similar to the beliefs of some of the animals who are featured in the book Animal Farm by George Orwell. This belief is justified by the slogan “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”. Some animals believe in this immoral statement. They all fight to be the supreme animal on the farm. But, with bad, there also has to be good.

Clover is the embodiment of a loving and motherly spirit. She protects a brood of motherless ducklings. Clover sits and comforts Boxer when he falls down. Clover raises 4 foals. When Boxer is being hauled off in the tack cart, Clover is the only animal who thinks to read what the cart says. Clover remembers the law before it was changed and distorted by Napoleon’s justifications and the other pigs’.

Mollie is a vane and gluttonous being. She puts ribbons in her hair and then admires her reflection in a pool of water. She sits in front of the crowd at Old Major’s speech so the others can admire the ribbons in her mane. She took sugar and food from the supplies and hid it during  a food shortage. She rarely works, but has more than her share of food. Makes up fake ailments so she doesn’t have to work. She does not want to have any discomfort or work, so she leaves the farm to be pampered by human farmers, the enemy of Animal Farm.

Napoleon is a ruthless tyrant. He kills a bunch of animals by setting his slave/servant dogs on them. He drives snowball off the farm, almost killing him. Napoleon takes the milk for himself and his comrades only. Napoleon claims all of the wind apples for himself and the other pigs. Napoleon justifies what he does, believing that he can not be wrong, and therefore everyone who does not agree with him is wrong. Napoleon is jealous that he did not come up with the plans for the windmill, so he urinates on them.

In conclusion, we can see that although most make bad choices throughout, there are some who make an effort to be good. There are some who blindly obey. And there are some who control and steal. This is also the case in everyday life. Even when most seems to be falling out of hand when evil seems to be prevailing, it will not win. That is because good, even when outnumbered, will eventually destroy the bad.
