If I was considering a career with an insurance company, I would look at ______ factors as they would be important when deciding on the company that I would want to work for.
The main factor that I would consider is how the company treats its customers. I would want to work for a company that explains consumer rights and responsibilities. I would want to work for a company that is committed to safeguarding clients’ rights when they shop for insurance and when they submit a claim following a loss. Another factor that would be significant to me as a potential employee would be their presence in the community in which they serve. For example, I would want the company to realize how challenging COVID-19 was to every one of us and taking action to help people who are in a time of need.
I would want to work in a company that is local so that if customers have issues, they would know exactly where to go and exactly who to talk to.
I also might look at reviews and ask the people around me about their experiences with the particular company. For an insurance career, in particular, I would want to hear information that represents that the company went above and beyond during clients’ times of need. Whenever someone needs to file an insurance claim, it normally isn’t for a good reason. They could have dealt with a home invasion or a car accident. I would want to know that the company I choose to work for concentrates on turning difficult circumstances like these into a positive situation where consumers felt at ease and supported. I would want to work at a rewarding job that when I come home, I feel that I helped people promptly. I would want to do something different every day and continuing learning throughout my entire career.
