We all live In a Prejudice society, Most of the time people are judged before they are known and stereotypes fall into place. Prejudice and stereotypes come up a lot with race and 90% of the world's population holds prejudice against women alone. Prejudice and discrimination could affect your health, education and employment and housing in different ways and can influence people to think of other people a certain way and sort people into different boxes from the way they’re seen. In the movie Zootopia, the character Judy is a rabbit and falls into a stereotype as quiet, fragile and timid. She contradicts her stereotype by being a brave determined bunny who is independent and tough. She is almost the complete opposite of a stereotypical bunny but has some things common.

Judy was always very determined to become a police officer, ever since she was a little girl. As a young girl in her presentation, she quotes “I can make the world a better place, I am going to be a police officer” (zootopia). When that is said, her parents are shook and say “it's gonna be difficult, impossible even, for you to become a police officer”(zootopia). Her parents always wanted her to be a carrot farmer like every other bunny and continue the family tradition, she was always determined to become a police officer and help the world. She thought she could change the world and prevent problems from happening and solve them when they do happen. Judy worked hard throughout the entire process of becoming a cop, she pushed through all the hard work and redid her police evaluation multiple times to pass. When she passed, she was even more determined and worked even harder to solve her first case. She ended up solving all the cases instead of just the one.

As determined a bunny could be, Judy was also very brave. She would stick up for others and always test her limits. Bunnies are typically scared, they don't stand out and aren't always willing to talk up. While Judies friends are being bullied she stands up to a fox and says “You don't scare me, Gideon! “(zootopia). She then continues to fight back and kicks Gideon (the fox) away but ends up getting hurt. Even after this happened to Judy she still continues to be brave and work hard to protect her city. Judy also shows this character trait while she is in a room with Nick and Mr. Big about to get iced. She stands up for herself by quoting “So intimidate me all you want, I'm gonna find out what you did to that otter if it's the last thing I do.”(zootopia). This action shows bravery because Nick told her how dangerous and scary Mr. Big is but she continued to stand up and fight for herself.

As bunnies aren't very tough, Judy is. She shows throughout the movie that she can handle many things and get through it. Bunnies are known to be sensitive and scared, they probably give up easily, Judy is the opposite. When her dad says  “There's never been a bunny cop” (zootopia) and many more times when Judy is told she can't be a cop because she is a bunny, she still fights for the job and toughens out all the insults and assumptions. After she is brought down, she always gets back up and works harder. She doesn’t let many things affect her and doesn't fear much. Judy never gave up and always thought positively to get where she needed to go, she was tough.

Judy Hopps was always sure she wanted to grow up and live in the big city as a police officer. She wanted to live an independent life, even though one of her stereotypes is that bunnies aren't very independent. Bunnies normally travel in groups and collaborate together, some bunnies are independent and Judy is one of them. She shows independence when she leaves her hometown and all her friends/family to go live in the big city by herself having to protect herself. She protects herself and others.

Stereotypes aren't always true as in anyone can go against them like Judy proves. Judy proves she is a determined,  hardworking, tough, and independent bunny who builds a life she has always dreamed of. She proves everyone wrong that a little pray like her can be tough and big. Everyone thought she couldn't be a cop because she was a bunny, they all thought she would be too scared for the job. Not everyone is stereotypical and can be different.
