A life of luxury doesn’t have to involve lots of entertainment and a huge house. It could be living in a suburban home with one’s family or living comfortably in a small cabin in the woods. Some people might prefer living in a huge mansion, but most people wouldn’t want to deal with all of the conflict and people in the city. Living in a small cabin in the woods would be comfortable, peaceful, and would include small amounts of human interaction. Living in a mansion in a city would be filled with entertainment and conflict. They both have positive qualities, but one would offer a better life than the other. If someone had to choose between living a peaceful life in a small cabin in the woods or living a life of conflict in a mansion in the city, the best choice would be to live in the cabin in the woods because there would be less stress, lots of health benefits, and less time spent dealing with people. 

Living in the woods means not having to worry about finishing tasks or stressing over little things as much as one would living in a city mansion. There are fewer things to worry about and the surrounding nature can help bring peace to one’s life. Louise Delagran says, “Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings” (Delagran). Not only is one’s stress reduced by not living in a conflicted city, but also just by the presence of nature. Living a comfortable life in the woods would bring peace and harmony into one’s life. The stress is reduced and happiness is increased. Not only is living in the woods stress-free, but it can also have a lot of positive effects on your health.

Living in a place surrounded by nature can have lots of health benefits for people. It can have a long-lasting benefit on one’s physical health as well as one’s mental health. Delagran says, “Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones” (Delagran). Living in nature would help someone’s life in all kinds of ways. Living comfortably in nature can ease one’s mind and body but living in a mansion in the city doesn’t offer any of the health benefits that living in nature does. The combination of the presence of nature and lack of humans would have lots of beneficial impacts on someone. 

Sometimes dealing and interacting with other people can be stressful and makes life a lot harder than it has to be. When someone is living isolated in a cabin in the woods, there is little-to-no human interaction so there is rarely time spent dealing with other people. Kendra Cherry says that spending time alone can improve concentration and memory, prioritizes your interests, boosts creativity and productivity, improves relationships, and makes you more empathetic. (Cherry). The lack of human interaction can actually help someone with their own life when they aren’t constantly dealing with the conflict of other people’s lives. There are no arguments or conflicts and no one telling people what to do. They become in charge of their own lives and have power over what they want to do. However, while the lack of human interaction can benefit one’s life, some people might think that it would get boring.

Someone that would rather live a life full of conflict and entertainment in a mansion in the city might say that living in a small cabin in the woods would be very boring because of the lack of entertainment. They think that there is nothing to do with life when there is no entertainment. It would get too boring and they would miss the human interaction of the city. It would be useless to be alone in the woods and do nothing. However, while living in the woods with no human interaction could get dull and repetitive at times, there are so many more learning opportunities. While isolated from the world and surrounded by nature, one could learn so many new things about themselves, life, and even make new hobbies. Living in the woods allows everyone to expand their mind a little, but living in the city doesn’t give them the same opportunity.

Living in a comfortable and peaceful cabin in the woods is the luxurious life that a life with conflict in a city mansion is missing. Living peacefully in the woods could be very beneficial and could have lots of positive effects on someone’s life. When someone is given the choice to either live a peaceful life in a small cabin in the woods or a life full of conflict in a city mansion, the best choice would be to live in the small cabin in the woods because it’s relaxing, there are lots of health benefits, and there would be less human interaction. Living in the cabin would ensure a peaceful and comfortable life while wasting money and conflicting with others in a mansion is a waste of time. The small cabin makes for an overall better life. Even if one isn’t going to isolate themselves and live in a cabin in the woods, being able to take time to be alone and enjoy nature every once in a while is extremely important in everyone’s life.
