Einstein once mentioned, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” We can completely agree with this great mathematician’s statement. It is the new experience and new exposures that teach you new things. With every new fall, you learn something new. If you are not ready to let yourself fall, then you cannot teach yourself anything new. If you do not do that, you will continue to have bad experiences and it becomes a loop from which you can never get out. This leads to denial, losing self-confidence, and blaming others for your experiences. You enter into that stage of your life where you focus only on the negative impacts happening to you. Learning from your mistakes is not easy. Nobody said it was simple. But once you do, you can trust yourself. You believe that you have the power to do anything.

When I was in lower secondary school, I was an extremely carefree person and wasted a lot of time on unimportant things that I knew would never benefit me. My weakness in academics was math and I blamed the teacher for my weakness. After some time mid-term examinations came and I got a D grade which made me extremely conscious of my grades. I was beyond frustrated. My mother tried sending me to tuition and that didn't helped because I have always been a self-learner.

Due to my grades, I started focusing more and more in my regular classroom and practiced math every day for 3-4 hours from January-March. I solved every problem in my maths book and memorized everything. I went beyond limits, asked about the answer I couldn’t solve from my colleagues and my mom’s friends.

Then the dreaded day came, I was pretty confident that I would ace the exam but my previous record made me anxious. When I reached the exam hall, I realized that due to the anxiousness I forgot my pencil case. I wasn’t an expressive person therefore I became more worried because I didn’t have any stationery items. So, I borrowed a pencil from my friend and did the whole paper. I didn’t faced any difficulty in solving it. I was confident that it went well. Going out of the exam hall I slipped due to my clumsiness and got a bruised knee due to which I wasn’t able to walk so with the help of my friend I went to the nurse room where I saw my maths teacher talking with the nurse. She asked me how my paper went and I told her it went super well. Considering my previous record she replied positively and went to her classroom.

After a month, it was time for the result, I was positive that my result would be good but I knew my maths paper went better than the other papers. When my maths teacher came to give me my paper she made everyone clap for me. Due to me being a bit introvert I was overwhelmed by it. After the clapping, I came to know that I topped my whole grade and got 74 out of 75.

That day I learned that it’s really easy to face a challenge. All I need is hard work, focus, and good intentions.
