Essay on The Importance of Good Parenting

Parenting is placed in several categories, but it is mostly how one raise their child. Parenting is establishing a bond with that child from birth to forever. It is about setting standards and limits as they get older they will understand the limits that has already been set. Instilling morals and respect and value to the child is very important. Making sure the child is comfortable in his or her own skin, meaning having high self-esteem. Parenting has so many ways to explain the ones I find important is disciplining the child, showing love and affections, and pushing the child to do always do better. 

Discipline is not always whipping a child, it simply means taking away something they really enjoy. It is times when the child will have punishment that will consist of whopping, depending on the extent of the behavior done. Most small kids are into electronics and teenagers into driving cars and hanging out with friends. Those things usually affect them more than trying to whip them, plus the bigger they get that does not hurt or phase them anymore. When a child is discipline correctly it makes most children want to do better, because they understand what is prone to happen by repeatedly doing the same thing. The key to discipline is setting boundaries and limits on what can and cannot be down and being consistent. 

Love and affection is needed for human nature, but as a parent it is our job to make sure that child is receiving much of it.  Such a good feeling to know the child feels and knows that his or her parent is there safe place. It starts when one start is little so it helps the child to learn to love themselves. When a child receive and see the love given it makes their mood and life much happier. I noticed a child that is given the right amount of love and affection approach and attitude is much better towards others. While working in different settings with children I have witness how some kids come act when they are getting what is needed home vs when they are not. Some parents have multiple kids and it may sometimes get harder to give them all large amounts, but if all the kids are getting a good amount of love and affection it counts better than none at all. It goes beyond then a kiss on the forehead or high five for doing some rewarding. It can be simple as telling them they are loved and maybe going on ice cream dates with each one of them when time permits.
