The best sandwich is a bologna sandwich. A lot of people would probably say that bologna is gross but personally I like it. The smooth spongy texture is satisfying to eat. The sandwich was eaten during the Great Depression because of its affordability.That's the best sandwich because of its taste,accessibility, and it's not wasteful. 

The bologna has a unique texture. It feels like a sponge but is easy to tear through. The meat kind of tastes like “mystery meat” like hot dogs or spam. Bologna looks like a red circular floppy disc.There are steps to eating bologna: first open the package, take out the meat and take off the red strip that is around the piece of meat, then enjoy. Everytime I eat a bologna sandwich it feels like I am eating history because bologna was very popular during the great depression. During the Great Depression, the bologna sandwich is what helped Americans survive during that time. The bologna sandwich is The American sandwich.

Bologna is attainable anywhere. The supermarket, convenience stores, and even places that you would think that don't have it, have it. For example, Walmart sells bologna even Target sells bologna. If you don't have bologna come over to my house I will make you a sandwich. 

The most important thing about bologna is that it's not wasteful. Bologna is made up of many different meats. It's interesting how it's made. The ingredients are, “Mechanically separated meats (chicken and/or turkey and/or pork), pork and/or beef and/or bacon; ...” (olymel.com). Basically it's a bunch of meat flattened into a circular slice. All the pieces that don't go into ham or turkey, etc. go into bologna. A lot of people think it's gross but I don't care. I think eating spiders is gross but people still eat them, so what are you going to do? 

A bologna sandwich is the most satisfying sandwich out there. It has many traits: it tastes good, it is available anywhere, and it is not wasteful. Many sandwiches need more than one slice of meat while a bologna sandwich requires one slice. There is a lot of history with the meat. That is why the bologna sandwich is the finest sandwich.
