In a world where technology enables us to communicate through text messages, social media sites, and e-mail, face-to-face interaction seems to be less common than it once was. Many people may fail to realize the advantages face-to-face communication has that technology does not. When you communicate in person, you can understand the tone of voice and emotions best if communicating in person than if you were to send a text message. You can also watch what you say carefully, and you wouldn't have to worry about misconceptions. For all these reasons, face-to-face communication is superior. 

To begin with, when you communicate in person, you can better understand the tone of voice and emotions. You can't always convey your tone of voice when communicating with electronics. When you use in-person communication, you can effortlessly get your tone of voice across. If you are angry, you can yell, or when you are happy or excited, you can speak with enthusiasm. This concept also goes with emotions. When you use technological communication, emotions won't always be clear either. Unlike when you send a message, when you talk to someone face to face, they can see you get a red face, smile, or cry. As you can see, face-to-face is better than technology when it comes to tone and emotion.

Another reason face to face is superior is that you will watch what you say carefully. When you use technological communication, you rarely check your message for errors. In contrast to communicating through electronics, you often consider what you will say when you talk in person. Also, when you say something you don't mean, you can correct yourself within seconds. Communication in person proves again it is a better style of communication.

A final reason you should communicate face to face instead of through electronics is a misconception. Communicating through technology, you will often have a problem with someone misunderstanding something. When talking in person, you can express or explain something easily. Common misconceptions can be examples we already brought up, like tone and emotion. Another misunderstanding can be the meaning of something you say or something someone else has said. As I mentioned before, this is not a problem if you communicate in person. Yet again, face-to-face communication proves to be greater than technological.

All in all, It appears that in a world in which instant messages are customary, face-to-face interactions are less recurrent than they once were, and this may be because people underestimate the advantages of in-person communication. When you communicate face to face, you can understand the tone of voice and emotions, you will watch your words more carefully, and you won't have to worry about misconceptions. So, in conclusion, face-to-face communication is superior to communicating through technology.
