Pravda started as a workers daily but eventually morphed into one of the most important organs of the Bolshevik movement during the Russian Revolution. Pravda had a large impact on the workers during the Russian Revolution because it could give those workers motivation to stand up and fight. 

The newspaper all started as a workers daily in 1912, by Leon Trotsky. The newspaper was aimed at Russian workers during the Russian Revolution. Pravda was first published in Vienna, Austria, and eventually throughout time moved to St. Petersburg Russia where it became a major part of the Revolution (New World Encyclopedia). Pravda was a mix of many different writers and points of view and, “many of its editorials were reprinted in other Soviet and Soviet-bloc papers”(Britannica) “It was repeatedly suppressed by the tsar’s police, reappearing each time with a different name, until it finally emerged in Moscow in 1918 to assume its role as the official party paper”(Britannica). Although there was a lot of trial and error when keeping the newspaper published the creators eventually earned the role of the official party paper during the Russian Revolution.  Pravda helped workers in the Bolshevik movement largely by allowing them to feel as if they were heard and could stand up and fight. 

Pravda can be known for playing a part in the Russian Revolution. The main role known to people during this time was as the official party paper for the communists. The newspaper not only represented the Bolsheviks movement but also could inform all readers on the communist theory. It sought to encourage unity and invite all to stand up and fight for what they wanted in the Revolution. (Britannica). “The newspaper played a huge role in the Bolshevization of the workers’ movement in the Russian Empire. It detailed the hard conditions for workers across the country, their problems and hopes.”(rbth)

Pravda impacted the lives of others, especially the working class, by allowing them to be recognized and encouraged to take a stand. Its first and foremost task during this time, “was to mobilize people to fight in the ongoing Civil War against the Whites and other anti-Communist movements”(RBTH). Pravda allowed workers and all people who were not shown as important to have a voice and feel like they could do something. The newspaper allowed the communist party to speak out publicly to everyone around the country and even other countries involved. Pravda was one of the main purveyors during the time of the Russian Revolution. This newspaper can be known as inspiring and notices all people. 

The Russian Revolution is known as the transformation of the Russian Empire into the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Pravda plays a role in this revolution by being “an undisputed propaganda tool for the Communists”(rbth). This newspaper was simply created as a worker's daily article and led to a major communist movement source. Pravda was created in the early 1900s but is still very popularly known today associated with the Russian Revolution.
