Vice is a quality that makes us worse people and it contains different branches to it. testimonial injustice is a vice that a person or group could have. It’s complicated to determine whether it could be a motive-driven vice or an effect-driven vice, however, we know that it’s a vice and the person or the group that is being testimonially unjust is not fair to them. Testimonial injustice is around us whether we realize it or not and our history contained many real examples of testimonial injustice and some that were fictional only in books and movies to highlight the definition of testimonial injustice and raise the awareness of that problem. Testimonial injustice happens because of the s identification prejudice and that identification prejudice follows the speaker in different social activities. I will argue that the USWNT (U.S Woman National Team) is testmonially unjust because of identity prejudice and mainly sexism that track them with their everyday life by the hearers

Testimonial injustice happens when identification prejudice causes the hearer to present a deflated degree of credibility to the speaker. (Fricker: 28) we argue that the speaker lacks the knowledge and is not good enough to share what he knows when in fact he is in a good position to share the information with us. We immediately give low credit to them and even see them as incompetent of what they are talking about when they could be equally or more informed than us and that is due to identity prejudice. Identity prejudice is when we use stereotypes to judge a person’s credibility and stereotypes are mostly generated from the world around us and usually accused by sex, race, and class. Identity prejudice does not stop with one act, but it continues to follow the speaker with other activities in his/her life if Identity prejudice was used against some speaker in work that would even track him to his real life and set pre-determined religious or political views to the speaker. Testimonial injustice is a vice and its direct failure to produce good effects. Identity prejudice is around us and it’s everywhere and vice requires arguably something we should be blamed on for it (Battaly: 91) it’s not the fault of our own that testimonial injustice using Identity prejudice is everywhere we are required to see them and if it’s the first time we see it we are also required to learn them no matter if it’s the right thing or not. It’s complicated to say whether testimonial injustice is driven by motive-vice or an effect-vice and that is simply because we do not know. being prejudice means being blameworthy for the motive that we have, however, it doesn’t mean that only a person with bad motives can be a testmonially unjust person because effect matters to and in many cases it’s more important because we can simply only fail to produce good effects and be a vice person for it.

The USWNT were testmonially unjust and the good effect was not generated in their situation due to identity prejudice that tracked them with their social activity. A reason why the USWNT were testmonially unjust is because of their sex, which was the identity prejudice that was tracking them first they lost a lawsuit against the U.S soccer asking for equal pay when they have won the world cup, while on the other side Man’s team did not even make it to the world cup and they are generating less revenue. The USWNT meets Fricker’s conditions for testimonial injustice because they are clearly in the effect of identification prejudice, however, identification prejudice is needed to track them with their social activity to be testimonial injustice and not count as just a matter of luck. identification prejudice continued tracking them in social activity, for example, their social media was filled with people commenting assuming they can’t have equal pay only because they are a woman or people assuming their games are easier because they are a woman. Fricker’s conditions for testimonial injustice satisfy the conditions that the USWNT are in for being testmonially unjust. It wasn’t only one case, testimonial injustice is clearly around us with many people believing that it’s normal to act like that.

Vice expresses character and it shows the person's true belief, testimonial injustice is a vice and unfortunately, we are surrounded by it. The case of USWNT is just one case among many that are real or fictional that is affected by testimonial injustice. Assigning low credibility to a person or group when they deserve more is a true vice and on the other hand, assigning excessive credibility to someone that does not deserve is a vice also. identification prejudice directly attacks a feature in person that is not changeable for example race and sex. We don’t live in a perfect world, however, raising awareness about the problem is a good step since as we said people are inheriting identification prejudice from their surroundings without noticing that and they can’t be blamed for it when everything around is the only truth that we see.
