When it comes to choosing one for a leadership position, regrettably gender has a huge role to play in this decision, meaning that women are way less likely to be chosen to become a leader in their workspace. Women are disregarded when it comes to choosing a leader because they are seen as weak, sensitive, and incopitent leaders, but this ideal of women and leadership positions is wrong. Although women have been seen as the weaker sex throught history causing women to be viewed as horrible leaders, gender should never have a role when it comes to deciding leadership positions, becasue women are just as natural leaders compared to men, they are not to weak to lead, they are not lesser than men, and they are not atrocious leaders. 

Society often states that men and women are equal and are seen as equals, but this is false especially when it comes to the workplace and choosing leadership positions. So why is it said that women and men are equal but when it comes to the work place they aren't? It has been proven numerous times throughout history that women can be just as successful in their line of work, many women have provided their usefulness and capabilities in the workplace. A prime example of a women who has proved that she was fully capable of leading in her line of work was Ching Shih and it was found that she was “...the world’s most successful buccaneer…”(Source A) Ching Shih proved that she could be a pirate lord who would rule her fleet with command and respect, she was one of the best leaders in the pirate lord, most of these leaders being men. After the death of her husband, who was also an extraordinary leader, she proved that women can also be virtuous leaders, and that she and her late husband were both great leaders. One was clearly able to see how great her leadership was and how she was a prime example of how men and women can be equal when it comes to leadership advantages. She and her late husband were both equal when it came to their leadership skills. Too look down upon women due to their sex is extermley wretched. No one should be put down due to the gender that they are, no matter what they are human beings and human beings are natural born leaders. Mary McLeod Bethune was able to prove that women can be leaders and that both sexes were able to be equal when it came to leadership. Bethune was such an bewildering and strong leader that the “...NCNW raised funds to install a bronze likeness of Bethune in the Washington, D.C.’s Lincoln Park; the sculpture faces Abraham Lincoln...:” (Source C) Abraham Linclon is one of America's most famously known leaders so for Bethune to have her statue placed near his proves to America both women and men can be equal in leadership. Both Bethune and Lincoln were such successful leaders that they had statues put up in a famously known park, proving that both women and men are great leaders. These two statues together represent how women and men equally are great leaders and equally can do amazing things. It’s bewildering that society states that women and men are equally treated but when it comes to a workplace that is a lie, just because someone may be female does not lessen their intelligence, strength, or quality of leadership. Both men and women equally are extraordinary leaders who change their workplace for the better. 

To state that women are inferior leaders is spreading false information.It has been periodically proven that women can be extraordinary leaders who are able to change their society for the better. Women have been looked down upon for too long when it comes to leadership positions, there have been times where women have been denied the chance to lead when in reality they would’ve been extraordinary leaders. Women have proven their capability of leadership multiple times to the point that they were the leaders of armies and fleets. Women “...could not only fight as well was their lords and masters, but might take command of armies and fleet.”(Source B)For a woman to be such a successful leader to the point that could command armies and yet she is still called a dreadful leader is disgraceful. Women were being compared to lords and masters who were the leaders of millions of people proves how they too could be amazing leaders. Women are able to hold the strength and knowledge of leaders, changing the outcome for everyone they lead for the better. Marcy McLeod Bethune was able to prove how she wanted to be an amazing, fearless leader. She was a natural leader who was able to save the lives of many students who attended her boarding school. When no one was there to take charge and lead the staff and students to safety, Bethune was there. She “...took charge: ‘Get the students into the dormitory’ she told teachers…”(Source C) The danger that was on the way to harm the students was the Ku Klux Klan, a famously known hate group mostly known for their hate and violence against people of color. If Bethune never took charge, who knew what violence the students may have had to face. Bethune was an amazing leader who worked well under pressure but also worked quickly. WIthout her leadership, unneeded violence would’ve broken loose, leaving who knows how many students hurt or worse. Bethune was able to prove that a woman could be an amazing leader that would change the fate of others' lives. Ching Shih was another prime example of an amazing leader. She commanded respect from her crew when she was the pirate lord. She was a strict, controlling leader, and even though she was a woman she made sure she received the respect she deserved. With over 70,000 male and female pirates under her rule, she proved that a woman could be a leader. Ching Shih “issued her own code of laws and enforced them severely.”(Source A) Ching Shih, a woman, was able to enforce her own laws and lead her team with a strict hand allowing for her team to be successful. Ching shing is an astounding example of a women leader who was able to lead a team to success. With the amount of laws she enforced she was able to gain large amounts of loot, making her and her crew extremely wealthy. Without her leadership her team would’ve never have been as successful as they were. These women were able to prove that women can be leaders. They were able to be very successful due to how they decided to lead along with their natural leadership ability. To say that women can’t lead is to say that women aren't human, both women and men and born to lead not just men. Without the leadership these women provided who knows what would’ve happened to the people around them, women are natural born leaders as well. 

Throught history women have always been seen as the weaker and lesser sex, due to this belive women are often claimed to be to weak to be able to lead with sucuss, which is a false believe. Women have proven that they are strong rather than weak, in human history there have been multiple instances where women demonstrated large amounts of strength, allowing them to prove their worthiness as a leader. To say that women are weak and that their womanliness causes them to be delicate is an insult to the women who have proven their strength. Back in ancient  Egypt, gods and goddesses were heavily worshipped, even a women. This strong goddess was “...Naphte, represented her in the form of an Eagle, because that bird is the strongest of aerial warriors…”(Source B) This goddess was so strong that she was given the Eagle, one of the strongest flying birds even to this day. Naphte was a goddess who was worshipped and known to be strong. She, a female, proves that women can be seen as strong and that women are strong. Would you call a goddess weak? So why call a woman weak. Women are strong and have faced the fears many would’ve ran from. To say that a woman is weak is absurd when they have faced the many dangers in their society.  The female pilots in the 588th Night Bomber Regiment definitely proved how much strength and fearlessnes women can poses.These amazing flyers “...dropped more than 23,000 tons of bombs on Nazi targets ”(Source D) after taking their last flight on May 4, 1945. These women faced many sexes comments from the men they served with, but they learned to ignore these comments and instead lead with strength. Would you call these women weak to their face after what they did? They dropped thousand of bombs on Nazis, and had to face the chnace of being shot down and killed, that takes strength. They had to face the fear of death, tourte, and the chance of being shot down, proving the amount of strength women can possess. Another woman who had to face a fearful matter, Mary McLeod Bethune. She faced a violently known hate group, the KKK face to face, all just to keep her students and staff safe from harm's way. As the hate group marched into Bethune’s school she “...stood in the center of the quadrangle and held her head high as the parade(the kkk) entered the campus by one entrance…” Bethune stood with her head high as the violent hate group marched into the entrance of her school, the entrance which she stood in front of. She had to face the hate group who has been known to kill or harm people of color, Bethune being a woman of color. She had to face her fear face to face. She was a strong woman who was fearless, and she proves the strength women possess. Women are not weak.

To believe that women should not be leaders is ludicrous. To state that women and men can be equal, but for this to be false when it comes to choosing someone to lead is insane. To assume that women can't lead and should never lead is foolish. To state that a woman is weak is absurd. Women have proven that women can lead, they have the strength, the traits, the natural born institc. Gender should never change whether a person gets a leadership position or not, gender does not matter when it comes to leadership but rather who the person is.
