Participation in and viewing of the Professional Rodeo cultivates and creates American culture. There are many ways rodeo has influenced American culture. Professional Rodeo is the only sport that evolved from skills required at the workplace. The events of the professional rodeo were drawn directly from the tasks of the range cowboy. Rodeo is one of the most punishing sports in America.  It takes extraordinary skill and refined talent, the cowboys who ride are some of the most rugged individuals in athletics. The first rodeo was in 1869 in Deer Trail, Colorado soon after the rodeo became very entertaining for crowds to watch. Then the cowboy era began after the Civil War. The lifestyle of being a cowboy has been for all Anglo-Cowboys, but also the cowgirl, the Spanish, the African American, and the Native American. In the era when rodeo was popular, there was a lot of racial and gender discrimination in America. For example, gender discrimination was existent yet women were able to participate in the rodeo and feel welcomed. Rodeo has changed many people's lives in the past 200 years. Rodeo can bring people together that share the same interest. This concept has helped shape American culture because Rodeo can help people feel welcomed. Many rodeo committees have given back to their communities in many ways. They have supported local education through scholarships. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo have donated more than 475 million dollars in scholarship money to the youth of Texas. The attributes that define America are encompassed in Professional Rodeo.

Another facet of American culture is the Automotive industry.  The Automotive Industry began in the 1890s. America was the first country in the world to mass-produce vehicles and make a large market for them. A defining aspect of the United States being a world superpower is we have the second largest and first automotive industry. Today the 3 largest American automobile companies are General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. These three companies produce vehicles that are known throughout the world. Ford produces 4.2 million vehicles a year. The United States produced 8.8 million vehicles in 2020 which provided 10.3 million jobs. Historically it has contributed 3.5 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. It has a very critical component of the United States economy. It has helped create America's steady economy since the 1890s. The Automotive Industry has helped make the United States a world superpower and shape American culture. The cars in America are unique and special to the people of America. Bob Packwood said ´´Who would buy a good car when you can buy an American car?´´Other countries recognize our cars and know they are American. Americans spend lots of money and time on cars. Vehicles have played a major role in America's culture. ´´ Cars have come to define much of what it means to be an American.´´ Cars are a big aspect of everyone's life thus making cars important to how America is defined. People's personalities are shown through their vehicles and those vehicles express America's culture; therefore people's personality express American culture. This is extremely significant because people illustrate freedom through vehicles. The Automotive Industry in America has been shaped a large aspect of many cultures and communities.

Another facet that defines America is music. Music has had a deep impact on American culture since the Native Americans. French and Spanish settlers also introduced new types of folk music. Today there are many types of music for example rock and roll, country music, latin music, soul and funk, heavy metal, outlaw country, hip hop, salsa and punk rock. Music can boost memory, build task endurance, lighten your mood, reduce anxiety and depression, stave off fatigue, improve your response to pain, and help you work more effectively.  "Music is therapy. Music moves people. It connects people in ways that no other medium can. It pulls heart strings. It acts as medicine." - Macklemore Music can inspire and encourage people and guide their actions. Music can also unite people and allow people to express themselves. This is a very important concept because America is about freedom and music allows communities to come together. Music can also tell the story of a person's life or a generation's evolving rate can also be mirrored by the evolving rate of music. Music allows people to push the boundaries of expression. Music and social movements are linked together. America's success in music is the country's consistent output of new sounds and generes. Europe saw the rise of hip hop and tried to recreate this American sound. American music is heard everywhere, its influence on other countries has surpassed that of all other nations. Music is like a time capsule that captures what the current fashion trends, technology, popular foods and celebrities are in all decades.  Music is a very important part of America because it affects many communities around the United States.  

Agriculture in America is also very significant to our country. The history of agriculture in the United States began with the first English settlers. The English settlers' livelihood was 90% agriculture. Today agriculture still provides basic needs like food, clothing and shelter. Agriculture could be referred to as the production, processing, promotion, and distribution of agricultural products. The United States is a strong nation that provides an abundance of food, fibers for clothing, and material for the construction of homes. Agriculture provides jobs for more people than any other industry in the United States. Approximately 16 out of every 100 people in the U.S. work in agriculture. Since agriculture employs many people, it contributes to economic development. Today, one American farmer feeds over 130 people. Agriculture plays a critical role in the entire life of a given economy. Economic development relies on the agriculture growth rate. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, the ag, food and related industries contributed over $1 trillion dollars to the country’s gross domestic product. Agriculture also impacts energy, Ethanol is a corn-derived oil used in gasoline. In 2018 5.55 billion bushels of corn were crushed to produce ethanol. Agriculture has an effect on many levels of America's communities. Agriculture creates American culture because agriculture is something that has been passed down from generation to generation. Farmers hold a crucial place in any society because they grow the food for a community. America's agriculture production is crucial because we are the world's largest explorer of food and fiber, sending agricultural products around the world. Agriculture defines American culture because, farming is defining aspect of what America is.
