Decisions are impacted by emotion because emotions can drive people into a state where they do things they don’t really mean to do. This can be seen in Romeo and Juliet and even in personal problems.

One example that demonstrates how decisions are impacted by emotion is when Romeo and Tybalt fight in the streets of Verona. In this scene, Romeo was upset because Tybalt killed Mercutio, a close friend of Romeo. In response to this problem, Romeo decided to challenge Tybalt to a battle in which he killed Tybalt, and was banished from Verona. This example is important because if Romeo never had the emotion he had over Mercutio's death, he would have never been angered and killed Tybalt. This proves that when you are feeling any sort of sadness or grief, it can really impact the next decision you make and can lead you into wrong.

Another example that demonstrates how decisions are impacted by emotion is when me and my friend, Sarah got into an argument on a Wednesday afternoon. Sarah and I got into this argument after I found out Sarah was lying to me over a situation. In this situation, Sarah was involved in drama with one of my friends and she told me what happened, but what I didn’t know was that she was completely lying to me. This caused me to get angry at Sarah and say things that I didn’t mean. This example is important because if Sarah had never lied to me, and I hadn’t reacted as I did, our problem would have never happened in the first place. This shows that when you feel an emotion such as anger it can cause you to say things you don’t mean, which provides instant regret over the decision you just made.

In conclusion, decisions can be greatly impacted by emotions because your emotions can get a hold of you, and can cause you to make decisions you instantly regret.  Therefore, it’s important that you be careful how you express your emotions and how you implement them in your life through your decisions.
