Essay Sample on How Ocean Pollution Impacts Marine Life

Imagine that you are a turtle and humans kept putting waste in your habitat how would you feel? Ocean pollution affects marine life more than you know and can affect tourism. Marine life should be treated the same as us humans give them respect after all they have feelings to and are living things.

Ocean pollution can affect marine life in many ways. My first evidence is ocean pollution can endanger any animal and can make some animals extinct. Ocean pollution can cause sickness to animals and even make them die and endanger the species. Second evidence is that animals in the ocean may even have to live outside habitat due to waste and pollution in the ocean. Living outside their habitat can make them have to adapt to a new living style because of ocean pollution. Most of all this Ocean pollution can cause death to marine life and can danger their ecosystem or home. All these examples are ways ocean pollution can negatively impact marine life.

There are many types of ocean pollution. Sewage and Solid waste are one. Sewage is any water waste and solid waste is any garbage. Oil spills are oil that spills into the ocean through tankers, pipelines, refineries, drilling rigs, and storage faculties. These types of ocean pollution impact marine life negatively. Humans only think of them self’s when they do these tasks and not knowing that there are thousands in the water trying to live and they pollute the water.

Ocean pollution also can impact tourism. Waste on beaches will keep people off the beach. No one wants to go to a beach with trash in the water and on the beach it just isn’t fun. When you go to a lake to fish or swim in the lake and you find out they close the lake because of water pollution it is no fun too. This impacts tourism because they can’t enjoy fishing or swimming because humans can’t take care of trash or are just not helping the earth. These are other examples that are not just about marine life but they affect humans as well.

Marine life should be treated the same as us humans and not treated like garbage after all they are living things. What will you do about Ocean pollution and marine life will you be a change or do nothing about it?
