This step is non-negotiable.

Done? Still want to become a Full Stack Developer?

Here is the easy, shorter answer which. This helped one of my close friends when she was in a similar situation. She came across this course called Geekster and tried the precourse (since it was free). It worked well for her. Give it a try and see if it does for you too.

The long answer:

Be clear about your goals:

Learning to be a Full Stack Developer takes time, hard work, and determination. Don't underestimate the temptation to give up along the way. Decide whether this is the right career for you.

Step 1 - Pick a development specification:

You will need to learn the skills of both front-end and back-end coding. Choosing a development specification in advance will enable you to combine programming for both.

If you decide to learn front-end coding first, make a plan to learn the related languages and trades in advance. These include HTML, CSS and JavaScript. After mastering the front-end coding, you can go ahead and  learn back-end coding and database trades.

Step 2 - Take a course in full stack development:

A full-stack developer must master basic skills across a wide range of platforms and technologies, including front-end, back-end and database aspects. Learning everything on your own can prove very difficult. Consider taking at least one online course. (My recommendation for you is Geekster as I have personally seen the results).

Step 3 -  Basic software development & design tools:

When working on website and mobile app projects, developers must use development and design tools to simplify the development and design process. Therefore, you need to master some basic tools. Explore Bootstrap, CodePen, Atom for software development tools. For design skills, try Sketch and Mockplus.

Step 4 - Practice your coding and design skills

If you want to build a solid foundation, you must practice what you've learned regularly. This should include both your coding, and design skills. Practice makes perfect: don't laze around, it'll take no time to forget all that you have learned.

Step 5 - Create your own portfolio & resume online:

When you have mastered the basic technologies, the next step is to prepare important interview materials. These include your portfolios and resume. Make sure you prepare these in advance: online portfolio website, your resume and answers to frequently asked interview questions.

Step 6 - Land a full stack developer job online

After completing these five steps, you should be ready to land a full stack developer job that is perfect for you. With no scarcity of websites giving up-to-the-minute lists of the latest full-stack developer jobs available, you should have little trouble finding several open positions. Apply for jobs and build your Full Stack Developer career (even when you have no prior work experience). All the very best.

Hope this helps.
