Homework, what does it do? How does it help students? Well, let me tell you. It causes stress Coming from a student, homework causes stress, takes personal time away from students affects education negatively. Homework should be outlawed in classroom’s today!

Homework causes stress for students’ alike homework is not always a priority to some families. They need to do chores or take care of their other responsibilities. Not everyone is book smart in subjects like math or English. People go back and forth with the homework debate at home Parents do not always know what the student is learning at school, and they can’t help them. This cause stress on the students and family. There can be so  much homework. Sometimes students have homework in six different classes which can lead to students being overwhelmed In addition to home life pressure to get the “perfect” grades to graduate and go to college I am not saying that everyone is like that at home but there are a lot of people are out there have been dealing with the pressure of the society through their parents and homework creates one more weight on students backs.  

Students have jobs to support themselves and there addiction. So, what makes it any different for students? They have jobs to save and go to college for their future so why should students have to worry about working a part time or even a full-time job when they go to school to get six different classes of homework. Now that is not the only reason for students not doing their homework, they have family problems that no one really talks about how much family affects schoolwork.  How they go in their personal life. Sports is an important thing in the world on how many people do it and how it affects Academic things. Sports sometimes take students away from class work or class instruction. Granted sports do help with physical and sometimes mental health it does take a toll on the grades and schoolwork, Homework is a thing that society Most student have eight classes to juggle so they are not sleeping the full eight to ten hours of sleep at night instead it's more like two to five hours of sleep. 

Homework is assignments that we do at home most teachers would tell you that is why it is homework because it has the word home in it well what if I tell you that schoolwork is what you do at school, but homework is just schoolwork that you did not get to finish in class. So, it is unfair to put a bad grade on a paper that you were supposed to finish in class right and that affects your grades in said class correct. So if people do not do their assignments then they will be lost the next day and what if you have no idea what is going on because that was a vital thing to do but if you do the assignment and get a bad grade it’s because you didn’t try or you rushed through it but as I have said before people struggle in some classes when they need help it always just isn’t there it’s just a come in and hope I’m there school systems. Need to prepare for when the student needs to have an assignment pushed for a later turn in date or help students prepare for the real world situations. Not assign something that class did not cover.

Now let us talk GPA if you fail a class your GPA drops but you also must understand that students need help and not something to keep them busy at home but, that GPA is what gets you into colleges and into good colleges at that. When students get discouraged, they tend not to do so well in the class so the goal should be that less homework and more class time work should be the way to go because, they have less of a chance to be discouraged and it also builds confidence within the student(s).
