Essay Sample on Should Students Be Allowed to Have Phones at School

Having phones in class helps in a lot of ways down to just pure safety and more these days that everything is electricac and we good do research and even do our homework or assignments on our phones. Phones are the most important thing in our society due to the fact that everything can go through your phone it used to be computers that can do all your research and homework now phones can do it. Computers are still in the lead because it’s faster and etc. We are a couple of years out that the phone will catch up to computers and computers won’t be used. 

(Vanbuzr) “phones in school increase a sense of safety” I have had a time when having my phone on me nearly saved my life at school. I forgot my meds and when I don’t take them bad things can happen. If I didn’t have my phone I would have had no other way to call my mother,  and she would have not of known that I didn’t my meds until I was in the hospital. Phones can save a person’s life by just 1 text. I find that crazy that are even having this talk that phones shouldn’t be allowed. (Koo) In this movie amateur this kid has problems that he can’t read the board because he has dyslexia. He uses his phone to video the whole class for he can go home to study it himself. This is a big reason because in (vanduzer) article his reason 10 is phones in school serves as a memory aid. You can say notes are a better memory aid but this new generation is so focused on phones, so we are most likely to look at our phone later to study then take out our notebooks. 

(Nulsen) he says (“knowing how to engage with cell phones appropriately Is an important life skill”) using your phone in school helps you learn valuable skills by making sure that you get the control that you know if you just play around then nothing Is going to work out. (Nulsen) “Therefore we have a policy that students will lose classroom points if they use their cellphones during lecture and note taking time, but we do NOT ban cell phones entirely” this school teaches their kids that if you are doing business that you need to know you will be in trouble if you are on your phone while you are learning. Its important to learn these tools early for you won’t get in trouble whenever you find a job because your boss wont mess around. 

A common thing people say about when you bring up phones in classes is that they would watch games or watching Netflix or YouTube. You can control it by implanting a policy that if you get a certain amount of points you get detention or even up to suspension. There is far more pros than cons. You can’t ban phones or else parents or students would literally have a riot.

(NYC times) New York City governor banned phones and parents were really mad so they made a lawsuit. (NY times) Carmen colon has to rely on phones for their communication because they all go to different schools so they need to communicate and they can’t do that if phones are banned.
