Macbeth takes the stereotypes associated with males and females and clearly shows us that these stereotypes are indeed just myths. There are countless examples within the play that show us that the women are indeed more masculine then what the stereotypes make them out to be and the same can be said for the men who show feminine qualities. The essay will debunk the myths and stereotypes that have remained in society with regards to males and females.

In the play Macbeth is seen as less masculinity than Lady Macbeth as she tends to do things on her own terms to fulfill her desires making Macbeth less of a man. Throughout the play lady macbeth had more masculinity qualities than macbeth himself. The main differences between masculinity and femininity comes with the beliefs and the trends followed by the society. Some  people associates masculinity with men’s power and feel like there are superior in society as men are, and to bring equality the concept of femininity is getting in vision with beliefs of equality and a better situation.

Lady Macbeth's lack of femininity and new found masculinity allowed her uncontrolled powers to take control over her and created a barrier from reaching her potential greatness. She went against her womanly nature.

According is Macbeths wife she find him ambitious but his too kind to do what it takes to murder Duncan so that he can become king after all. Lady Macbeth nagged at her husband that he can take action so that he can be crowned with Lady Macbeth is seen as the dominant partner as she rules over Macbeth and takes charge in certain roles when he does not step up to his standard.

Macbeth was seen as the hero in the beginning and men respected him as he was very masculine showing how dominant and his aggression in the beginning of the play until later in the play lady macbeth showed more masculinity and made him look weak making macbeth himself feel small against her at the end he's character faded away towards the end he never had that masculinity and aggression as in the beginning as he did not want to kill macduff in the end so that he could have became king after all. After all, Lady Macbeth had more masculinity at the end of the play.
