History is an essential aspect of our everyday lives. Many people would prefer to get rid of parts of it, but those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. In our everyday lives, history has a big impact because of generational wealth, the past labor of your family members or people, and even the government that surrounds us.

Generational wealth is a prime example of how people controlled others for long periods of time. Take the queen of england for example, she has a long lineage of famous rulers. But, for people in the middle class they will most likely be in the middle class unless something is done about it. Another example regarding the queen is wealth, she was born into the throne and did not have to work for it. On the other hand, someone from the middle class would have to work very hard to get to the upper classes of people. Generational wealth plays a part in the lives of people from the queen to even an average person.

The labor of your family members or people also play a role in our everyday lives by giving us easier times than before. Micheal Horf once said “Hard times create strong men, strong men make good times, good times make weak men, and weak men make hard times.” 

Another reason is the inventions that people made. Think about it, in order for you to be reading this essay someone had to discover electricity and channel it, someone had to make the computer parts and computer, and someone even had to make the programs to write on the computer! Everyday someone else had to do something hard in order to make someone’s life easier.

One last great example is the government. There is no better example than the constitution. It outlines what we can and can’t do, like the freedom of speech from the bill of rights. Other countries even have inherited governments like Great Britain. They have a government that is based around your past family members, and the fact that they were royalty. The government is established around history, and that it affects life now.

To conclude, history is an important part of life now and is a part of every life. May it be the labor of past people or family members, generational wealth, or even the government that surrounds us. History is an important part of our everyday lives whether you realise it or not.
