Should we let students be stressed about having to complete hours of homework in a short time while having to balance out other things such as spending time with family and  having fun with their friends. In schools, 56 percent of the students considered homework a primary source of stress. Forty-three percent viewed tests as a primary stressor. Less than 1 percent of the students said homework was not a stressor. Students who have trouble with homework often have troubles at home that affect their homework and the homework load can lead to sleep deprivation and other health problems. many people believe that students should do lots of homework. They say that Homework reinforces skills, teaches students to work independently and develop self-discipline. While that might be true, the negatives of lots of homework outweighs the positives especially when lots of homework stresses students and they don’t have much free time. Homework should be limited because it can be overwhelming to students and home life could drastically affect what the students are able to complete.

With the way homework can be overwhelming on students as well with home life drastically affecting homework as well, homework should be limited. People might think if students do less homework they won’t be as smart, the solution to this problem is to not give more homework, but the homework that is given has more common knowledge that students will actually use.
