In Albert fox Cahn's “How Bodycams Distort Real Life” highlighted those bodycams are ineffective in real life and are therefore not beneficial to society. Also, Mr. Cahn didn’t like how the officers use the bodycams. To make his case, he uses different scenarios that happened, including. A grotesque snapshot, a murder of unarmed black man, and a critical tone. He used these to show that bodycams reinforce their narrates, not entering public accountability.

Cahn simply starts the article by speaking about Tony Timpa and how he was killed after he tried to talk to the police officers about his crime. According to Cahn the bodycam footage showed us how Tony Timpa “pleaded with officers for his life” and “asked for help more than 30 times.”. He also states that how the officers “joked about waking Mr. Timpa up for waffles and school.”. what Cahn was trying to prove here was that the bodycams are not effective in real life. Mr. Chan's method for persuading the reader failed. Cahn explains us what happened to Tony Timpa and what the bodycams revealed, proving that bodycams are functional and valuable for inquiry.

Albert Fox Cahn goes on to explain how bodycams recording can capture, Cahn states “bodycams capture information on hundreds or even thousands of individuals that an officer sees on given day.”. Cahn even explain that the bodycams “reveal a lot information about innocent members of public.”. Cahn also goes on to explain how the policies of the Lax force officers give them more latitude “when and what to record.”. If the officer has the authority to decide when and what to record, then the bodycams aren't the issue here. It’s the officer who chose to not record. Mr. Cahn once again fails to establish that bodycams are ineffective and what method he applied here didn't seem to work. Bodycams should not be an issue if they can provide us with a lot of information. It can be quite beneficial to the inquiry.

The argument Cahn was attempting to make was that bodycams are ineffective and harmful to society. The methods he employed to persuade the reader were ineffective. He even fails to demonstrate that bodycams are ineffective in real-life situations. Instead, he proves that bodycams aren't the issue when the footage from the bodycams displays and reveals a lot of information. Then it's departments and offices that are the issue here. It's more about whether or not they want to use the bodycam footage throughout the inquiry.
