Do you want to know if the pandemic has affected your mental health? According to Stephanie J. Babb, “Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children” (Babb). Covid-19 has affected people's mental health. Covid-19 has put much stress on people, it has caused a change in a way of normal which will affect your mental state, it has caused depression because of not being able to do things that you used to be able to. Covid-19 has messed with people's mental health through depression, change in way of life, and stress.

Stress has been caused by Covid-19. First of all, Stephanie J. Babb wrote, “The more barriers they will face, as their academic needs will often interfere with their jobs and the needs of their families” (Babb).  During the pandemic, there will be more things that you will have to worry about and it could stress you out and ruin certain things in your life. Next, Stephanie J. Babb states, ”Transitioning to online courses and adapting to changes in course work and delivery, and this nervousness was correlated with an increase in anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances” (Babb).  Kids' school life will be affected because they are transitioning from online which they have never done before and putting more stress on them which is messing with their mental health and affecting how they sleep, depression, and anxiety. Also,  Stephanie J. Babb says, “Students indicated an increased number of life stressors during the pandemic compared to the traditional ways” (Babb). The students have shown that they have had more stress in their life during the pandemic than before when the pandemic wasn't a thing. Stress has been caused by the pandemic as stated above and has affected most of the people that live in this world.

Many people have suffered from depression. First, Jingyu Lu states, “Anxiety and worry to indicate the anxiety level and the last two questions loss of interest and feeling down to show the depression level” (Lu).  Many people have had anxiety and worry during the pandemic and according to Jingyu Lu, they have lost interest and felt down which had indicated their depression level. Second of all,  Jingyu Lu states,  ”Information on mental health is collected via four questions concerning anxiety, worry, loss of interest, and feeling down” (Lu). The research was done to show what the people were feeling throughout this pandemic and the questions were all related to depression. Jingyu Lu lastly states,  ”The COVID-19 pandemic can psychologically challenge the public, several limitations need to be pointed out” (Lu). Everyone is being affected by the pandemic in ways such as sickness and mental health and it is messing people up psychologically and giving some people even depression. The pandemic has caused depression and is relentless on people's mental health which is why so many people have mental issues now.

Lastly, it has changed people's lifestyles which have affected them mentally. Firstly,  Henry Sloan states,  “Over 90% of providers reported changes to their employment, with 64% no longer practicing” (Sloan). Healthcare providers have been affected by this and how their life has changed at work and had made many quit or retire.  Then, Henry Sloan also states, ”The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need for mental health care despite novel barriers to services'' (Sloan). Many people have required mental care since the start of the pandemic which makes a big change in your everyday life and how you feel. Henry Sloan lastly states, ”Most practicing healthcare providers reported similar-to-increased caseloads (62%)” (Sloan). Most healthcare providers have been affected with more people coming in for help since this pandemic has taken place.  People's lives have been changed by this pandemic for the good or the worst and have increased the load for help to their mental health straight.

Many people's lives have changed from the pandemic such as the people working from home and some people loving the ways of online and not being affected badly for mental health but the good of their mental health. Also, many people's lives have changed since the pandemic and have put people through hardships that affect them mentally. It says, “People are more likely to drop out of college in the first 5 years” (Sloan). This has affected the way people think for the worse in many ways as stated above.

Clearly, Covid-19 has affected people’s mental health for the worse and has influenced people badly. The pandemic has affected many ways of thought and thinking. Covid-19 has put much stress on people, it has caused a change in a way of normal which will affect your mental state, it has caused depression because of not being able to do things that you used to be able to. This pandemic has been terrible and has affected the mental health of just about everyone. It has done various things that we are not used to living like which is why people's mental health has been so messed up.
