Do you know the difference between children who get involved in after school activities and those who don't ? It is scientifically proven that getting involved in activities helps children be more extroverted and responsible. I remember I was so excited to be taking Zumbo after school because it looked like a fun way to exercise, after doing it for a couple of months I realized that I was becoming more outgoing. Zumbo not only helped me be more confident but also got me more fit. After-school activities are beneficial to students due to the fact that it helps students create friendships, builds confidence, and occasionally helps them improve their academic test scores.  

Being involved in after-school activities such as joining school sports, and volunteering are good ways for students to learn and develop. After-school activities are beneficial to students. Children take sports for multiple reasons. Maybe it's because they are bored and have nothing to do or they want a fun way to exercise. It is said that active children have more focus, are better problem solvers, and score higher on tests than a child that does not play a sport. According to Scope Magazine’s study, they have found that young athletes have higher scores in math and reading than a student who doesn't. According to the American Heart Association, about one out of three American teens and children are overweight because of lack of exercise. Playing a sport could help improve a growing child's health. After school sports are important because children can be more active.

While playing an after-school sport can be beneficial to health it also teaches you new life skills. People who take sports after school have to quickly learn and develop new skills, including time management, multi-tasking, and discipline. My older cousin always tells me how playing soccer made her better at time management and a better person in general. Since she has to practice at certain times of the day she follows a daily schedule that also shows when she is going to do her homework or assignments and she never fails to do that. She learned to be a better version of herself through teamwork, she learned to be a good sport because whether her team wins or loses she still has a group of people who care about her. A good team spirit could also make it fun and motivational for everyone else. After school sports can teach you life lessons.

Sports can be a great way to make new friends. I met my best friends when I was signing up for an after-school soccer team in the fifth grade. We were both new to town and we didn't know anyone so our parents decided that an after-school club would be a good way to meet new people. At first, we didn't talk to each other because we were shy, but when we played soccer we had to communicate and learn to work together, doing so has brought us closer, we soon realized that we had a lot in common. Then we became great friends. After-school programs are a great way to meet friends with similar interests.

In summary, After school clubs are a great way to stay active while still having fun because you can play with your friends, it is also a good way to learn new skills like discipline because you need that when playing a sport, furthermore after school clubs are an amazing way to meet new people who have common interests. In conclusion, after-school clubs are very beneficial, especially Sports clubs because they allow children to be active, learn new skills and meet friends with similar interests.
