From a young child to even now, I have always liked staying in my comfort zone. I never usually took risks, but the one time I did pushed me to step out of my comfort zone more often. It is sometimes necessary to take chances and risks because you might be able to experience something new and it can bring benefits for you and others.

One reason why it is necessary to take risks is because it can push you to experience new things. One example was when I stepped out of my comfort zone and auditioned for my school musical. I was frightened during the audition because I was worried my singing wouldn’t be good enough. Surprisingly, I passed the audition, ended up making new friends, and having a memorable experience singing and performing on stage. Taking a risk and ignoring your fears allows you to experience more things. Staying in your comfort zone will limit you greatly.

Another reason it is important to take risks is because it can benefit you and those around you. A good example is shown in the anime Attack on Titan. Erwin Smith, a commander, consistently takes risks and sacrifices throughout the show to save humanity and bring them more knowledge about titans. A specific example would be when Erwin took his troops and charged straight towards titans, creating a distraction to allow Captain Levi to kill the leader titan. Erwin and his troops ended up dead, but his plan succeeded. Levi was able to kill the leader titan because of the risk Erwin took. Taking a risk can bring you negative effects, but sometimes the benefits outweigh them.

It is necessary to take risks because you might be able to experience something new and it can bring benefits for you and others. Taking risks doesn’t always give you benefits, but it will be worth it when it does.
