It is possible to change the minds of people who hesitate to get vaccinations by providing more education, preventing the spread of viruses, and waiting for effective results to convince the people.

Firstly, it is possible to convince the people to get vaccinations by sharing education about vaccines. According to a professor of paediatrics and a consultant to the WHO on vaccine safety, Dr. Noni Macdonald, Canada is not providing sufficient education and information about vaccines (Browne, 2014, p.425). Providing knowledge to the people about vaccinations is really helpful because it teaches them the health benefits of taking the vaccines or what might happen when they take it.  Insufficient knowledge of the vaccine will end up leaving the people clueless about the cause and effects of vaccines. It is the reason why people have doubts and confusion about the effects and causes of vaccines because they lack information. Also, the knowledge they have learned will help them to be responsible or keep track of their vaccination schedules. In paragraph 9, the author stated that the Federation of Cuban Women visit every neighbourhood to make sure that the people and babies get their vaccinations done (Browne, 201, p.425). These vaccination appointments will help them be aware and responsible because they know that certain dates or months are important to be fully immunized and protect themselves from the virus.

Secondly, when people are convinced to take the vaccine, the spread of the virus will be prevented. According to the author, military campaigns were stopped due to

the breakout of smallpox during the founding of Canada (Browne, 2014, p.425). This means, the virus has spreaded out because there is no prevention. If people do not get vaccinated, there’s always a risk to the people around them. Prevention will keep the body safe. For instance, when a virus enters the body, it makes the human body weak. It can cause several effects inside the body. Prevention is always better than cure. Once it is prevented, not only can it keep us away from sickness but also not make the virus worse.

Lastly, the influence of society or people around them with optimistic outcomes can convince the people to take the vaccine. For instance, when someone takes the vaccine and the results are harmless and effective. People who hesitate to get a vaccination will reconsider their decision because of the seen results. In addition, waiting and getting positive results will lessen people’s doubts and distress. For instance, overthinking the situation that the vaccine will have a negative effect on individuals. Having enough source or evidence of the outcomes of vaccines will make people believe that it is safe.

Overall, once the people have seen the outcome, their worries and suspicions will vanish. They are going to start trusting the vaccine and rest assured it will make them safe which also helps prevent the spread of the virus.
