"Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome." - Arthur Ashe. When we concentrate on something vital, we believe that accomplishing the objective is everything. We tend to get buried in huge ambitions like starting something for the first time, studying for an exam, or releasing a book. However, we must take a step back and remind ourselves that the trip is more important than the goal. While the goal may appear to be a significant accomplishment, the trip itself is far more significant because it is something you can begin right now. Also because the past and the future cause sadness, but being immersed in the present will change your thinking.

The journey is something you can start right now. Instead of daydreaming about a goal that could become a reality in the distant future, take tiny actions and be present in the moment. This is significant because you might begin to look forwards to those phases and shift dramatically. There are several changes you may make to your everyday routine that can bring you closer to your goal. This is where your success begins, as you progress in every imaginable way. You could, for example, begin a new diet. By concentrating on one step at a time, you will finally arrive, which by your definition already occurs. Essentially, the journey is something you can start now.

Living in the future, or the destination, only leads to sadness. With careful consideration, we can see that the road we have chosen has aided our success. When we focus on the destination or objective, it appears to grow more difficult to reach. This kind of thinking is likely to result in dissatisfaction. According to a Harvard research, we spend half of our time thinking about the past and half of our time thinking about the future. As a consequence, most of us fail to take the first steps and, as a result, fail to achieve our objectives. Furthermore, living in the future causes misery.

The act is frequently more essential than the outcome. This is because, in the end, the road you choose is how you succeed; without it, you would not be able to attain or even get near to your target. The action allows us to see where we are and provides us the option to modify our thinking and ourselves. Top athletes, for example, will only achieve success after conquering several obstacles along the road. Ben Saunders, who travelled 46 miles to the South Pole when his food and water supplies ran out, faced various obstacles on his way to breaking the record. Furthermore, the job is more valuable than the outcome since the destination cannot be reached until the task is done.

Finally, success begins when we recognise that we must focus on the trip rather than the goal. You may begin the trip right now by taking modest actions and being present in the moment. When we focus on the future, we get unhappy since it makes our objective appear more difficult to reach. Finally, the trip is unmistakably how you attained success; it is the road you followed to get there. As a result,”Success is a journey not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” - Arthur Ashe.
