Leonardo Da Vinci was born in Ancona Italy on April 15, 1452. His father Ser Piero was wealthy and worked as a landlord and notary while his mother a peasant. Stability was absent in Da Vinci's childhood as his parents separated, leading to his father being granted custody. Following in his fathers footsteps Leonardo devoted his faith to catholicism. As a child da vinci received minimal education but showed indications of talent and intelligence. At the age of 15, Leanardos father noticed his capabilities and apprenticed him to the respected painter and sculptor Andrea del Verrocchio, this was a stepping stone for a young da vinci and provided him with the knowledge he needed to begin his career.

Over time, da vinci refined his talents to take on a wide variety of scientific and artistic interests, including everything from sculpting to astrology. During the golden age of the renaissance davinci led by example as a multi-disciplined man. Throughout his career people admired and respected his work and teachings. Da Vinci benefited from the Renaissance because it was a period of diversity, which drew attention to the wide range of fields in which he was involved. Animals served as a source of inspiration for Da Vinci, supplying him with the simple mechanics he needed for his inventions. Unknowingly Leonardo started a revolution that would later impact future generations. 

Throughout history, Da Vinci served as a source of inspiration and knowledge for those in the sciences and creative fields. Selflessly Da Vinci created a platform for those brilliant and curious minds to stand on. Giving them the necessities needed to revolutionize the world. Talents that have Da vinci to thank for their careers include Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, the Wright Brothers, and Nichola Tesla have. Furthermore, Da Vinci's art and inventions are still used today, such as the invention of the parachute and the drawing of the Last Supper.
