Did you know 84% of teenagers have phones meaning that 84% of teenagers can connect to people on social media? technology isn’t for teenagers because it is unhealthy for them. When teenagers are on technology it can have negative impacts on them. We shouldn’t have teenagers able to go on social media and be able to be on their phones for a certain amount of time. This is a problem because teens are making it their life and hurting themselves to be popular. teens should only be on their phones for 2hrs a day with breaks. People say that technology is good for social health but they forget about physical and mental health.  Teens shouldn’t have control over their technology use because it causes injuries, as well as impacts physical health, and can cause mental health issues.

One reason teens should be in control of technology is that it can cause injuries. a quote that shows that there is a possibility of people dying because of technology addiction. “Soon after they arrived, they saw a man dislocate his shoulder when he jumped into the rock pool at the base of Hermit Falls. Meaning that technology is taking over the world and is dangerous for people. Stay away from technology or you could get addicted and hurt yourself. While you are on your phone and looking at crazy stuff you might want to do it and might injure or kill yourself doing it. “The team's leaders say the single most significant factor for that increase is people posting videos of extreme activities online. This shows that technology is so dangerous that people will try to do something too reckless. You shouldn’t get addicted to technology/social because this is what could happen. this is another reason why you should get addicted to social media because you could see something cool and think you could do it. But you cant and instead, you hurt yourself. Meaning that people get so addicted to technology to a point that they will hurt themselves trying to do something impossible. This concludes that people will go to the point of hurting themselves to get likes.

Another reason for teens not to have control, over technology is because of physical health. Ever had physical pains while you looking through technology? “blurred vision dry eyes Headache neck and shoulder pain” 36 percent had eye strain. 30 percent had back pain. 27 percent had neck pain. 24 percent had headaches. 21 percent had wrist pain. 11 percent had carpal tunnel syndrome. 9 percent had insomnia.” https://www.healthline.com/health/negative-effects-of-technology#positive-effects.  Everyone should take a break from phones once in a while because of the physical impact on their body. Said early that you can get blurred vision, dry eyes, headaches, neck, and should pain by you looking at your phone too much. This shows that it is not healthy to look at your phone. When you are looking at your phone you could be getting closer and closer to getting one of these physical pains.it is not healthy to look at your phone for a long time. Another quote that shows that if you look at a certain light could have unhealthy effect with your body.“Household LED lights also emit blue light. As stated early you should have a lot of blue light around you because it is unhealthy to look at blue light for a long time. You should have less than 2hrs of screen time to be healthy. When you are on your phone for over 2hrs you might get an effect like getting worse vision instead of 20/20 vision. In conclusion, having too much screen time is unhealthy.

the last reason teenagers should have control of technology is because of mental health. It shows that it can cause problems in life and not solve them. It might be a low number but it still shows that people still have a problem with technology. Overexposure to blue light in the evening can make it more difficult to fall and remain asleep. This is showing that you could have bad health if you keep staying on technology for too long. It says that it can mess with your sleep and can affect your mood. The reason is that sleep affects your mental and physical health. Meaning that if you play sports technology could affect your performance in the game. In the end, this is why you should be careful with your technology time.

Teenagers should be able to control their technology because it’s good for social health which I agree with because they forget that it’s not good for mental, physical health, and it’s a waste of time. “it’s not good for mental, physical health, and it’s a waste of time.“Social Media Decreases Face-to-Face Communication Skills Social Media Causes Sleep Problems. For example, it says that it can cause depression which can affect your physical mental, and social health. I know that if you stay away from social media you could have a 66% of not having depression than 13%. It also affects face-to-face skills which are because you only talk in technology and don’t have practice for real life. There are many problems in social media that it’s not worth it.  meaning is that the negatives go over the positives.

When you are sitting there on your phone swiping, you could be doing something better. Technology is harmful because it can make people hurt or even kill themselves. As well as mental health it is not going to be healthy for teens to have full control because it will make them depressed. Another one is social since they are always on their phones they won’t know how to talk in person and just text instead.  when you take time off your phone or don’t care about what happens, your body will thank you because it will help your mental and physical health. take some time off your phone or don’t take technology seriously. If teens have full control of technology most people could be depressed. This shows that if teens could have full control it would be a disaster. Teen will be unhealthy and won’t talk to anyone because of it. What I’m trying to say is to limit teens’ use of technology so they don’t get depressed and have no social skills. Because down the road, it will be helpful to help them. Teenagers should not be using technology because of mental, physical, and causes injuries.
